Record Crowd
—6,400—Served
at Lithia Springs
The largest crowd ever served
at the Lithia Springs recreation
center enjoyed a pre-Labor Day
celebration there on August 30,
when Lockheed’s International
Association of Machinists gathered
for a real old-time rally.
Some 6,400 persons (nearly 1,500
more than were expected) en
joyed barbecue fare and consumed
700 cases of soft drinks, owner
Ben A. Rich of Atlanta reported.
