dent of Dothan’s B’nai B’rith-
Temple Brotherhood.

AUGUSTA — Ike Shapiro has
been named chairman of the
Board of Governors of Adas Yes-
hurun Synagogue here.
Elected with him were Ben

Hyman Weinstein, and Harry
Shapiro.
Mr. Shapiro is president of the
Shapiro Packing Company and
has been active in the Svnagogue
affairs for many years. Mr. Kap
lan is a partner in Kamo Manu
facturing Company.

Anna Frank’ on TV
First TV adaptation of the
book, “Anna Frank: Diary of a
Young Girl” will be telecast from
1:30 to 2 p. m. Sunday, Nov. 16,
E.S.T., on NBC-TV’s Weekly re
ligious series, “Frontiers of
Faith.”
The series is carried on a live
basis over WSB-TV, Atlanta,

of thirty-five (35) years with the privilege
renewal at the expiration of that time.
They desire to be permitted to own both
real and personal property by purchase, gift

The sole object of the proposed corpora-

in the particulars hereinafter set out and to
be reincorporated under the terms of Chap
ter 22 18 as provided in Georgia Code, Sec.
22-1883, as amended;

Petitioners desire to amend the Third Ar
ticle of its charter by adding the following
paragraph:
The said corporation desires to have the
right and privilege of buying and selling all
kinds of wearing apparel, dry goods, notiont,
millinery, small house furnishings, appliances
and all other articles carried in department
dry goods, ready-to-wear, jewelry, millinery,
and appliance stores and their kindred lines.
To add to the Fourth Article thereof the

Common shares of the par value of One
Hundred and no/100 ($100 00) each may be
issued in fractions thereof.

Petitioners further show Israel Yudelson
and Samuel Glass are the sole stockholders
of the said corporation;
That the said charter of said corporation
expired by operation of law on the 27th day
of September, 1952; and some occurred with
out the knowledge of the corporation, its
stockholders and directors; and in ignorance
thereof, said corporation has continued to
curry on its business in its usual form and
manner as tnough said charter had not ex
pired] ^
Petitioners show that it is necessary and
desirable that the charter of said corporation
be revived, renewed, and amended and that
the corporation be reincorporated under the
Corporate Act of 1938, as amended, the said
directors and stockholder/ being present at
a called meeting on October 16, 1952, a copy
of the minutes of said meeting being hereto
attached and marked Exhibit "B" and made
part of this petition, approving the revival,
renewal, incorporation, and amendment of
said charter.
WHEREFORE, petitioners pray that the said
charter be revived and renewed for a period
of Thirty-five (35) years from the date of its
expiration and tnat said corporation be re-
inrorporated under the Corporation Act of
1938, as amended, and that its charter be
amended as set out, upon due compliance
with the laws of such cases made and pro
vided.

his home state Sunday, Nov. 23,
for a talk before the first annual
luncheon meeting of the Colitm-
bia community for the State of
Israel Bond Drive.
Mr. Keysd.ling’s selection as
guest of honor at the luncheon,
scheduled for the Jefferson Ho
tel, was made by Ben Arnold, S.
C. state chairman for B.I.G., and
Jules Bank, Columbia chairman
for the Israel Bond campaign.

(JTA) — The two Jewish con
gregations of St. Petersburg co
operated this week to open the
Jewish community religious
school. The school is open to all
Jewish children of the city and
they need not be afiliated with
either Congregation B’nai Israel
or Temple Beth-El. A total of 74
children were enrolled for the
opening session.
