son of Mrs. Helen Katz and the
late Louis S. Katz, August 16.
Rabbi Harry H. Epstein conducted
the ceremony in his study.
The bride attended L.S.U. where
she was a member of the Sigma
Delta Tau Sorority.
Mr. Katz, a graduate of Emory
University and the Emory Law
School was awarded the Juris
Doctor degree at Emory. He is en
gaged in the practice of law in
Atlanta.
Mr. Katz served as a counter in
telligence agent during the Sec
ond World War. He is a former
national president of Masada and
former vice-president of the At
lanta Zionist District.
The couple will reside at 1343

where he was a member of the

tained the young couple at a re
ception at their home on Cumber
land Road last Sunday evening,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Like and their
daughter Barbara and son “Butch”
were here for the engagement

RINGEL-ZELL
BRUNSWICK — Miss Margaret
Pauline Ringel, daughter of Judge
and Mrs. Philip S. Ringel of
Brunswick, Ga., became the bride
of Lt. Donald David Zell, USNR,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Carley Zell
August 26 at the home of the
bride’s parents.
Rabbi Joseph Spear performed
the ceremony in the presence of
the immediate families.
The bride’s only attendant was
Miss Margaret Ann Kaufmann of
Atlanta, relative and Agnes Scott
College classmate of the bride,
who served as maid of honor.
Ensign Harold Zell served his
brother as best man.
Following the ceremony, Judge
and Mrs. Ringel entertained with
a reception in the Plantation
Room of the Oglethorpe Hotel.
Mrs. Carl Abbott of Darien, Ga.,
and Mrs. Thomas Collier presided
at the table.

The couple left on their wed
ding trip to the West Coast and
Canada. They will reside in Jack
sonville when they return, where
Mr. Zell will be the manager of
the Good Housekeeping Butane
Gas Company.
