Raines Unveiling
Friends and relatives of Mr. and
Mrs. H. Newman arc invited to
attend the unveiling ceremonies
in memory of Mrs. Newman’s
mother and father, Fannie and
Louis Raines, Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2
p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. Rab
bi Harry H. Epstein will officiate.
MRS. A. J. BENJAMIN
Mrs. Amelia J. Benjamin, 92,
died Oct. 3 in Chicago.
Funeral service were held Oet.
6 in Atlanta at the chapel of
I'oachtre Memorial Mortuary. Dr.
David Marx conducted the serv
ice Interment was in Oakland
Cemetery.
Mrs. Benjamin was the widow
of Morris Benjamin. She had lived
in Chicago for the past 30 years.
She was a member of the Temple
and a charter member of the Coun
cil of Jewish Women.
Surviving are two sons, Claude
A. Benjamin, Chicago; Malvern
Benjamin, Philadelphia; three
daughters, Mrs. Roslyn Bernheim
and Mrs. Carrie Woolf, Greeley,
Colo.; Mrs. Claire Louise Shep
pard, Chhicago, Ill.;, a sister, Miss
Ruby Eichberg, Atlanta; a brother,
James Garfield, Los Angeles; eight
grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.

SAVANNAH — Mrs. Rose S.
Cohen died in Jacksonville Oc
tober 6.
Funeral services were held Oc
tober 7 at the Krauss Funeral
Home, Jacksonville, and on Oc
tober 8 at the graveside in Bona-
venture Cemetery. Rev. Bernard
Jacobson officiated at both serv
ices.
Mrs. Cohen was the widow of
the Rev. Louis Hyman Cohen of
Jacksonville. Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Joe Schrieber,
Waycross and Mrs. Harry Cyper,
Miami; two sons, Joseph Cohen
and S. Cohen, both of Jackson
ville; two sisters, Mrs. Dinah
Salad and Mrs. Harry Groher,
both of New York City; and ten
grandchildren.
Charles M. Pinsk.v of Atlanta is shown in center shortly before
he departed for Israel to study medicine at the Hebrew University-
Hadassah Medical School. With him are Dr. George S. Wise, president
of the American Friends of the Hebrew University, and Mrs. Samuel
J. Rosenberg, national president of Hadassah. The other three U. S.
students who enrolled are Julius Dolinsky, Miss Jacqueline Grund-
stein and Allen S. Paisner, all from New York.
MRS. JULIUS RUHR
MACON — Funeral services for
Mrs. Julius Kuhr, 85, were held
hero October 16. Born in Berlin,
Germany, she is survived by three
sons, Paul T. Kuhr and Raymond
M. Kuhr, both of Savannah; Frank
Kuhr, Macon; two daughters, Mrs.
Stanley Elkan and Mrs. Gus Small,
Macon; and a number of grand
children.

Tbe Corporation, unless otherwise required
by the terms of any contribution, shall have
the power in its discretion to retain all con
tributions in the original form in which they
may have been received, and also to buy,
sell, exchange and otherwise deal in stock,
bonds, real estate and any other forms of
property at either public or private sale,
without order of any court or other authority,
to invest and reinvest ony funds belonging
the corporation at any time in suen
securities and property, real and personal,
as the Trustees in their sole discretion see
fit, irrespective of whether such investments
may not be legal investments for trust funds
uncler the laws of Georgia. The corporation
may use any bank or trust company in the
State as its fiscal Agent, and delegate to
such institution the custody and manage
ment, investment and reinvestment of its

services.

Tho officers of the corporation shall be a
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, a Vice*
Chairman, a Secretary and a Treasurer; the
latter two offices may be held by one per*
son. The Trustees moy appoint such commit
tees and agents and create such other of
fices as to them shall seem best, and dele
gate to them such powers and duties as in
the discretion of the Trustees may seem ap
propriate.

Mr. Isrel, a restauranteur, was a ;
native of Rhodes, Italy. He was

Surviving are three sons,
Tommy, Maurice and Marvin
Isrel; two daughters, Mrs. Sam
Jacobs and Mrs. Reese Guthas, all
of Atlanta; mother, Mrs. Hnnulla
Isrel, Montgomery; four brothers,
Haim Israel, Paris, France; Ralph
Israel, California; Judi and Albert
Israel, Africa; three sisters, Mrs.
Saul Tarica, Africa; Mi's. Saul
Alhadeff and Mrs. Esther Franco,
Atlanta; and five grandchildren.
LOUIS E. SALOSHIN
SAVANNAH — News was re
ceived on Oct. 9 of the death in
New York City of Louis E. Salo-
shin, formerly of Savannah.
Interment was in New York
City, October 11.
Mr. Saloshin was a member of
Zerubbabel Lodge of Masons and
Alee Temple of the Shrine.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Martha Saloshin, New York, and
one sister, Mrs. .Esther Straus,
Savannah; one niece. Miss Beat
rice Straus, and two nephews,
Emanuel S. St r a u s and Leo J.
Straus.
