Reading Comedy,
‘‘Curious Savage”
A $10,000,000 fortune whets the
appetites and sharpens the greed
of .the stepchildren of a rich widow
in the intriguing play, “The Curi
ous Savage," a three-act comedy
by Jbhn Patrick, author 6f the
“Hasty Heart" which is the Adult
Drama Workshop’s second major
production being offered to the
community at 8:30 p.m. on the
evenings of Wednesday and Thurs
day, Dec. 2 and 3, at the A. A.
Center, 250 10th St., N. E-
Full speed ahead and lots of
hard work is the course of the
cast, as dirctor Edith Russll and
Associate Director, Jack Powell
guide them in the intricacies of
this brisk and entertaining play.
This hard -work does not phase the
members in theirt second venture
because they have prepared them
selves well in all phases of ttje
theater sine their successful pro
duction, “George Washington Slep
Here” presented last year. Al
though the group is just a little
over a year and a hglf old, their
efforts have brought about the
realization of their original plans
to offer to members of the Center
interested in Drama the chance to
express themselves and to provide
happy companionship.
Publicity is being handled by
Chairmen Harry Spitzer and Mrs.
Hans Joel and their committee.

Temple Forming
Adult Choir Group
The Temple in Atlanta is or
ganizing a new adult choir.
Under direction of Mrs. Enrilie
Spivey, music director, the Cpn-
gregation has called upon its vo
cally talented members to volun
teer for choir singing.
The group will rehearse after
Friday evening services.
The Temple has a training
children’s choir which performs
Saturday morning services.
New World Club
Members of the New World
Club will hear reports about the
“old world” countries at their
meeting at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov.
23, at the Jewish Community
Center.
President William H. Sachs has
announced that reports will be
heard from three Atlantans who
recently visited Europe. They are
Mr. and Mrs. W. Bunzl and Fred
Baumgarten. A social hour will
follow and visitors are welcome.
Shapiro Bar Mitzvah
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shapiro of
Atlanta announce the Bar Mitzvah
of their son, Marvin Stanley, on
Saturday, Nov. 21, at 9:30 a.m. at
the Shearith Israel Educational
