Jewish Hour
Changes Broadcast
For the next several weeks,
“The American Jewish Hour,’’
broadcast over Radio Station
WEAS, every Sunday evening,
beginning at 7 p. m. will alter its
format slightly.
In place of the customary fea
ture dramatization, there will be
more music, more news and short
dramatic features.
In explaining the move, director-
producer Robert Lurie stated, ‘‘It
is our feeling that now, at the
height of the summer season,
people’s appetites change to a
lighter mood. Hence, we intend
to program more and shorter
stories, music and a more compre
hensive news analysis. We shall
resume our ‘Tribute to Great
ness feature early in September.”
