Fashion Show
A fashion show of casual
clothes and a twin piano recital
will be featured at the opening
meeting of the season for the
Atlanta Section, National Council
of Jewish Women, Sept. 19, 1:30
p. m. at the Temple.
The meeting will mark the
opening of Council’s 60th anni
versary year in Atlanta. It will
also officially start the Treasure
Mart campaign to raise $10,000 to
support Council philanthropies.
The campaign will be climaxed
by a three-day sale later in the
fall.
A buffet tea will follow the
meeting. Council members are
urged by Mrs. Niels Jacobson,
president, to bring bundles of
clothing for Thrift Shop to the
meeting if they can.
Mrs. Jerome Berman and Mrs.
Morris Arnovitz will play the
twin pianos.
Following this will be a fashion
show, with the following women
serving as models: Mrs. Nat Kra
mer, Mrs. Petty Waxelbaum, Mrs.
Simon Selig, Mrs. Sidney Rich,
Mrs. Ted Fischer, Mrs. Sol Levin,
Mrs. Kurt Holland, Mrs. Stanley
Mallin and Miss Peggy Lichten
stein.
Mrs. L. H. Moss and Mrs. Ben
Stegall are in charge of program,
and Mrs. Henry Caplan is hos
pitality chairman, Mrs. Ben
Massell is in charge of fashion
show music.

He discussed the role of the
Jewish Center in the community
and its partnership with the
houses of worship.
Milton Collins wa3 honored at
the meeting for more than a dec
ade of "tireless and devoted ser
vice'’ to the Center. He came in
to the picture in 1942 as a part-
time director and as the Center
grew, he was made a full-time
director.
