Atlanta Temple Audience
Divided to Insure Seating
For the first time in years,
members of the Temple in Atlan
ta will have plenty of room for
the Rosh Hashonah and Yom
Kippur services
The congregation officials de
cided to hold two identical serv
ices the evening of Rosh Hashon
ah and Yom Kippur — so that
everybody could have a seat in
the auditorium.
Previously, the audience had
overflowed into the lobby, out-
f side steps and the Social Hall
Assembly Room — with many
members preferring to miss ser
vices altogether if they could not
sit in the main auditorium.
Earlier this year, members were
polled for preference of services.
There was practically a natural
division, so that it was not neces
sary for the officials to make any
large number of assignments to
equalize the groups.
First service starts at 7 p. m.,
the second at 9 p. m. Single ser
vices are scheduled for the next
day.
