any program you have ever wit
nessed.
Mrs. Sid Rosenblum, president,
urges all members to participate
by being in the audience for this
outstanding display of local
talent.
Estelle Karp and Pat Mendel
will be the singing stars, and
Harry Siegel will portray the
singing role of Richard Tucker.
In addition to the vocalists, the
skit features Rae Meyer and
Betty Levitt, with Pearl Arno-
vitz accompanying the group on
the piano.
Narrating the YOU ARE THERE
skit will be Frances Manheim,
and Janet Meyer, Program Chair
man, will be in charge.

Sol Eplan of Atlanta was hon
ored at a dinner party on Sep
tember 18 by his family and
friends in celebration of his sev
enty-fifth birthday anniversary,
at the Progressive Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Eplan’s children
are Mrs. Abe Adair and Mrs.
Harold Willen of Atlanta, Mrs.
Alfred Stone of’ Ft. Lauderdale
and Philip Eplan of Miami Beach.
Mr. Eplan’s brothers and sisters
are Samuel L. Eplan of Atlanta,
Ike Eplan of Rome, Georgia, and
Mrs. Barnett Bender and Mrs.
Abe Goldstein of Atlanta.

AUGUSTA — Mr. and Mrs.
David Rubenstein of Pedro Villa,
Augusta, announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Barbara
Lee, to Charles Jay Moss, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moss of
Chicago.
Miss Rubenstein, whose father
is a former Savannahian, was an
honor graduate of Tubman High
School where she was class
speaker. She attended Sophie
Newcomb Memorial College in
New Orleans, where she was on
the dean’s list and active in extra
curricular activities. She received
a Bachelor of Arts degree from
Smith College, Northampton,
Mass., and was a member of th#
All-Smith Choir and the Opera
Workshop.
Following her graduation, Miss
Rubenstein narrated a weekly
radio series, Brotherhood at
Work; wrote many articles of civ
ic interest; and had her own radio
and television show under the
professional name of Bobby Rus
sell.
Mr. Moss attended Northfield
Military Academy. He was grad
uated from Hyde Park High
School where he was editor of
the weekly paper, and from the
Wharton School of Finance and
Commerce of the University of
Pennsylvania in Philadelphia
where he held an office in the
Zeta Beta Tau Social Fraternity.
Mr. Moss recently received his
discharge from the U.S. Army and
is associated in business with his
father who is president of the
Chicago Tire and Supply Com
pany.
Alpert-Diamond
MIAMI — Miss Ami Alpert,
daughter of Mrs. Louise F. Alpert
of Miami Beach, Fla., became the
bride of Norman H. Diamond, son
of Mrs. Tessie Diamond and the
late Eugene Diamond, Sept. 4,
at the Algiers Hotel, Rabbi Irv
ing Lehrman officiated.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her' grandfather, Jay
Alpert. Mrs. Myron Rosenberg of
Jacksonville, Fla., was matron of
honor. Paul Diamond served as
best man.
The bride wore a white lace
dress. Her veil was attached to
a lace cap. She carried a Bible
which her grandmother had car
ried in her wedding.
Following the ceremony a fam
ily dinner was held at the hotel.
After a wedding trip to Nassau,
the couple will reside at 1324
Briarcliff Rd., N.E., Mr. Diamond
is affiliated here with Harold Dil
lon Agency, National Life Ins.

SAVANNAH — Announcement
has been made of the engage
ment of Mimi Stettauer to Barry
Stewart Scholer. Miss Stettauer
is the daughter of Mrs. Louis
Stettauer of Central Park, West
New York and the late Mr.
Stettauer. She is the grand
daughter of Mrs. E. Eisenberg
and is the niece of Dr. Semon
Eisenberg of Savannah. Mr.
Scholer is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry L. Scholer of Beverly
Hills, Calif.
Miss Stettauer is a graduate of
the Birch Wathen School and will
attend U. C. L. A. in Los Angeles.
Mr. Scholer completed his pre
law at U. C. L. A. and plans to
complete his training at the Uni
versity of Southern California
next June where he is president
of the Student Bar Association.
Warren-Wainer
Mr. and Mrs. William Warren of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Joyce, to Dr.
Howard Wainer, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Max Wainer of Winston-
Salem, N. C.
The bride-elect atended the Uni
versity of Georgia, where she was
a member of Sigma Delta Tau
Sdrority, Alpha Lambda Delta and
served as Pan-Hellenic representa
tive. A psychology major at Emory
University, she is employed there
in the Medical School.
Dr. Wainer received his B. A.
degree from the University of
North Carolina, where he was
president of Alpha Epsilon Delta
premedical society, and a member
of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha
Epsilon Pi. After receiving the de
gree of doctor of medicine from
Bowman Gray Medical School of
Wake Forest College, he interned
at Grady Hospital. He is now
serving his residency at Emory
University.

Mr. Jacobs, an honor graduate of
Henry Grady High School, received
his A. B. degree frpm Cornell Uni
versity, where he was president of
Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, president
of the Alpha Epsilon Delta honor
society and a member of the Psi
Chi honorary group. He is a sopho
more in Emory Medical School,
where he is serving as secretary
of the Phi Delta Medical Fra
ternity.
The wedding will take place next
