University, was named a Baron in
the Queen’s Honors List. Among
the other Jews awarded honors
are: Rabbi Jacob Danglow of St.
Kilda, Victoria, Australia, named
a Companion of the Order of St.
Michael and St. George; A. Sam
uel of London named Command
er of the British Empire, and H.
Berman temporary chief execu
tive officer of the British Infor
mation Services in Bonn, who was
awarded the Order of the Brit
ish Empire.

Invited to Join
White House Parley
WASHINGTON, (JTA) —
Rabbi Abraham J. Feldman, of
Hartford, Conn., president of the
Synagogue Council of America,
is one of the 34 citizen leaders
invited by President Eisenhower
to take part in a conference de
signed to “explore the possibili
ties of a program for better peo-
ple-to-people contacts and part
nerships throughout the world.”
Dr. • Feldman will attend the
White House conference on June
12. James C. Hagerty, White
House press secretary explained
that Mr. Eisenhower on several
occasions in the past has em
phasized the importance of indi
vidual citizens as “ambassadors”
for the United States.

the twenty-fifth anniversary of
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith.
The couple married on June 7,

Minette Epstein of Memphis.
