British Envoy Gives
Kosher Luncheon

tish Ambassador Sir Roger Ma-
kins tendered a luncheon at the
British Embassy here in honor of
Rabbi Israel Brodie, Chief Rabbi
of the British Commonwealth.
Sir Roger and Lady Makins ar
ranged to have a kosher caterer
come to the Embassy to prepare
the luncheon. It was attended by
Associae Supreme Court Justice
Felix Frankfurter, Sen. Herbert
H. Lehman, and other personali
ties.

‘King & V to Open
Starlite Season
“The King and I” will open a
week’s run at Chastain Park Am
phitheater near Buckhead July 9.
The Municipal Theater Under-
the-Stars will bring to Atlanta
one of the first stock presenta
tions of “The King and I” au
thorized for showing outside of
New York. Its stars will be Anna-
mary Dickey, celebrated star of
the Broadway version of the same
play, and Erik Rhodes, well known
actor of the stage and television.
Yola Casselle, who flew to At
lanta from Los Angeles to take
the part of Tuptim in “The King
and I,” will also play the leading
role in “Naughty Marietta” July
16-21 and in “Kismet” August
6-11. Also in Atlanta this week
are Rosalind Nadell, Philip Went
worth, Melton Moore and Blaine
Cordner, featured performers in
the Rodgers and Hammerstein
production.
Tickets for “The King and I"
are $1 for general admission, $2
for reserved seats and $3 for box
seats. They are on sale at the
Municipal Theater Box Office in
the Georgian Terrace Hotel,
