best man for Mr. Levine, and
ushering were Robert L. Levine

Harold Meltzer and Beryl Kop-

A reception followed the cere
mony.
Mr. Levine and his bride left
for a honeymoon on St. Thomas
in the Virgin Islands. They will
reside at 1164 Briarcliff Rd., At
lanta, where the bridegroom
practices law.
KROTOSKY-LEFKOW
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Krotosky
of Lynbrook, N. Y., announce
the engagement of Mr. Kroto-
sky’s daughter, Roberta, to Seth
D. Lefkow. He is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Lefkow.
Miss Krotosky is a graduate of
Hofstra College, Hempstead, N.Y.
Mr. Lefkow received degrees
from the Universities of Miami
and Florida.
They will be married July 12.

She is employed by the Federal

Savannah High School and the
University of Georgia. He was a
member of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta
Gamma Sigma and served as
president of the Tau Epsilon Phi
fraternity.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Robin
son last week embarked on the
S. S. President in New York for
a trip around the world.
J. Max Cooper has been elect
ed chairman and Joe Price vice-
chairman of the Jewish Welfare
Board armed services committee
at a reactivation meeting. This
committee also serves as the
armed services committee of the
Savannah Jewish Council.
Julian R. Friedman, son of
Mr. and Mrs. W. Leon Friedman,
was one of the winners of the
annual essay contest coducted
by the legal aid committee of
the Georgia Bar. Asso. Subject of
the essay was, “Should the
Georgia Bar Assn, sponsor a de
fender program?”
Sheila Brooks, bride-elect, was
honored at a supper party last
week given by Mrs. Isaac Lev-
ington, Mrs. Max Gordon and
Mrs. Norman Mirsky.
Mrs. Rebecca Rubnitz, Mr.
and Mrs. Rubin Rubnitz and
daughter Elaine, Mrs. Florence
Hazman and son, Neal, attended
the marriage of Phyllis Anne
Weinstein to Albert Perlman
which was held in the Bronx.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Bessie Orovitz Weinstein,
formerly of Savannah.
Dr. Norman Kaplan, local psy
chologist, is now a part-time
staff member of the Chatham
County Dept, of Mental Health
Clinic.
Allan William Pollard, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Pollard
of Savannah, will enter the
Georgetown University school of
foreign service, Washington, D.C.,
in the fall. He is a 1958 grad
uate of Benedictine Military
