Stay-at-Home Dance Scheduled
August 20 for Atlantans
By HELEN WITT
Have you ever wanted to feel
you’re helping a good cause but
wishing you could do it and
stay at home at the same time?
Well, here’s the opportunity.
On Wednesday, August 20,
from 9 to 11 p.m., the evening
is all yours, as a result of the
“Stay-at-Home” Dance the At
lanta Zionist Council is sponsor
ing—in the comfort and privacy
of your own home.
And in your most comfortable
attire—slacks, bermudas, pedal-
pushers, housedress or whatever,
you can do what you please—
relax, read a book or magazine,
chat, watch your favorite TV
program, listen to radio or rec
ord, talk or if energy is with
you even dance with your fav
orite partner.
The tickets you buy for a
buck a person entitles you to an
uninterrupted evening at home
while at the same time helping
the Zionist Council’s program—
that of supporting their program
of scholarships and public rela
tions.

Workmen*8 Circle
Picnic, Fish Fry
Sunday at Fulton
Members of Workmen's Cir
cle Branches of Atlanta will hold
their fifty-first annual fish fry
and picnic Sunday, August 3,
at the Master Grill at North
Fulton Park.
The public is invited. Admis
sion will be $1, with meals
served from i2:30 to 3 p.m.
The sponsors promise the usual
“array of good food and a good
time for every member of the
entire family."
The Workmen’s Circle Branches
cordially invite friends and
neighbors to attend this outing.

suits or dresses in shape or pay
for parking, Atlantans may even
be willing to purchase more than
the exact number of tickets, the
sponsors hope.
Tickets at $1 each, can be se
cured by calling Mrs. George
Macher, TR. 4-7830.
And as an added attraction, the
commitee in charge has arranged
for some beautiful prizes, includ
ing porch furniture, a tea cart,
jewelry, records and champagne
—perhaps even delivered before
the evening is very old, best
seller books, records and other
items as well.
As the stub numbers are
selected, the phone number on it
will be called. You have to be
at home of course to keep the
prize. Sponsors promise no calls
will be made after 11 o’clock.
Refreshments will be dealer’s
choice, sort of, with many stay-
at-home dancers who mostly will
also be sitting-it-out preferring a
raid on the refrigerator and
others expected to drop hints
to the supervisor of the icebox
to get some snack ready in ad
vance. Since no driving is in
volved, the precautionary “one
for the road” need not be coffee.
Tickets are available of course
not only to the Council affiliated
groups—Hadassah, Atlanta Zion
ist District, Mizrach. Pioneer
Women and Young Judaea—but
to any man, woman or family
wanting to join in the fun.
Mrs. Edward Reisman, TR. 4-
7344, is chairman of the evening
and can be called for further de
tails.
