ROSEN-GOLD
PHILADELPHIA — Anita
Rosen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Rosen, became the bride
of Robert H. Gold, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Max D. Gold of At
lanta, August 24, in the East Lane
Temple here.
Mr. Gold was his son’s best
man. Groomsmen were Allan D.
Gold and Donald J. Gold, bro
thers of the bridegroom; Stephen
Rosen, brother of the bride and
Dr. Alvin Novack, brother-in-
law of the bride.
Following the ceremony the
bride’s parents entertained at a
reception and buffet supper in
the social hall of the Temple.
After a wedding trip through
New York State, and the lake
regions, the couple will live at
2194 Homer St. in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Rose Stuart Block be
came the bride of Harry Barney
Siegel in a quiet ceremony
solomnized by Rabbi Harry H.
Epstein at the Mayfair Club.
The bride is a former resident
of Nashville, Tenn.
Mr. Siegel is manager of the
Atlanta Terminal Co., represent
ing the Atlanta & West Point
Railroad, the Central of Georgia
Railway, The Seaboard Air Line
Railroad and the Southern Rail
way System.
The couple took a trip to
Banff and Lake Louise and the
western states. They are living
at 1078 Briarcliff Rd., N.E.
Lieberman New
Beth E! Rabbi
Rabbi Alvin C. Lieberman of
New York has been engaged as
spiritual leader of Congregation
Beth El in Atlanta.
President Henry Birnbrey an
nounced that Rabbi Lieberman
will assume his duties prior to
the forthcoming High Holidays.
Rabbi Lieberman has just com
pleted two years as chaplain
with the United States Army.
He served one year at Fort Sill,
Okla., and one year in Ger
many.

Happy New Year Wishes
Born and educated in New
York, Rabbi Lieberman gradu
ated from the Yeshiva of Flat-
bush before entering Yeshiva
University. He graduated from
its Talmudic Academy, Hebrew
Teachers Institute and Yeshiva
College, receiving the degrees
of B.R.E. and B.A.
In 1952, he enrolled in the
Rabbincal School of the Jewish
Theological Seminary and Co
lumbia University. He received
his M.A. in education at Colum
bia in 1954 and his M.H.L. and
rabbinical ordination from the
Seminary in 1956.
In 1954, he married Sarah
Roth of New York. They have
a daughter, Rimona Tova, 3.
Rabbi Lierberman succeeds
Rabbi Alex Kaminetsky, who
has accepted a post as educa
tional director of Congregation
Beth Jacob in Denver.

MAZURSKY-DAVIS
AUGUSTA—Rachel Mazursky,
daughter of Mrs. Mordecai M.
Mazursky of Barnwell, S. C., and
the late Mr. Mazursky, became
the bride of Robert Jay Davis,
son of Mr. Samuel Davis of New
York, and the late Mrs. Davis,
in the Congregation of the Chil
dren of Israel Temple. Rabbi
Norman Goldburg performed the
ceremony.
Mrs. Soloman Glushak of New
York was her sister’s matron of
honor and only attendant. The
groom chose his father as best
man.
Immediately following the
ceremony, the bride’s aunt and
uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Mandle Sur-
asky, entertained the bridal
party and wedding guests at a
dinner in the Bon Air Hotel.
After September, Mr. and Mrs.
Davis will be at home in New
Haven, Conn., where the groom
will continue his studies in the
medical school at Yale.
The bride was graduated from
Ashley Hall and has completed
three years study at the Uni
versity of Miami. She has com
pleted a season of summer stock
with the Paul Winston Music
Theater in Columbus, O., and has
also studied voice in New York.
The groom, a graduate of New
York University, was a member
of Phi Beta Kappa. He is a third
year student in the Yale Univer
sity School of Medicine and is
a member of Phi Sigma Delta
and has held a pre-doctoral fel
lowship in the department of
pharmacology.
