Martha Almeleh, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Nace Almeleh, be
came the bride of Harold Her
man Zimmerman, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Daniel J. Zimmerman
of Brooklyn, Aug. 31, at the
Mayfair Club. Rabbi Joseph Co
hen officiated.
Louis Almeleh, brother of the
bride of Atlanta and Norfolk,
was best man. The groomsmen
were Lewis Kraus of Brooklyn,
Lenny Cohen of Newark, Sol
Page of Montgomery; Morris
Almeleh and David Franco of
Atlanta.
Mrs. Morris Almeleh was ma
tron of honor. The bridesmaids
were Diane Dwoskin, Eileen
Little and Mildred Morris. Mrs.
Sol Page, sister of the bride of
Montgomery, kept the bride’s
book. Jean Page of Montgomery
was junior bridesmaid and Mor
ris Soriano was ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, the
bride’s parents entertained at a
seated dinner and reception. Af
ter a wedding trip to Miami
Beach, the couple will live in
Columbus.
LEFCOURT-HAIMAN
Barbara Kate Lefcourt, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Lef
court of Miami, became the
bride of Barry Haiman, son of
Mr. and Mrs. George Haiman of
Mobile, Sunday, August 24, in
Miami Beach. Rabbi Yaakov
Rosenberg performed the cere
mony.
Barbara Kaplan ,of Louisville,
served as maid of honor. Brides
maids were Caryl Stone, of Chi
cago, Ronnie Hendler, the bride’s
cousin, Diane Haiman, cousin of
the groom, Sondra Saft, and
Patty Pearlman of Miami. Judith
Alpert kept the guest book.
Mr. Haiman was his son’s best
man. Serving as groomsmen
were: Jeffrey Lefcourt, the
bride’s brother, William Kahn,
Alan Davis, Harold Ripps, and
Martin Levine.

ton Weinstein of Atlanta, son of
Mrs. Harry Weinstein of Ra
leigh, N. C., September 7, at the
General Oglethorpe Hotel, Wil
mington Island, Savannah. Rab
bi A. I. Rosenberg performed the
ceremony.
H. P. Kaplan of Raleigh was
best man and usher-groomsmen
were I. Clein, Ramon Udinsky,
David Landau, all of Atlanta,
and Sherwin Glass of Soperton.
Evelyn Schreiber was her
sister’s maid of honor and brides
maids were Cecile Cohen of
Atlanta; Mrs. John Fesperman
of Waycross; Mrs. Fred Levine
of Savannah and Mrs. Lewis
Serafin of Newburgh, N. Y.
Mrs. Schreiber gave a seated
dinner following the ceremony
at the hotel.
After a wedding trip to the
Catskills Mr. and Mrs. Weinstein
will reside at 589-C Seminole
Ave., Atlanta.

Atlanta announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Sandra
Gayle, to Charles Herbert Kap
lan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Na
thaniel Kaplan of Greenville,

The wedding will take place
in February.

Miss Sylvia Lafkowitz, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. David Laf
kowitz of Atlanta, became the
bride of Alvin Neil Siegel, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore M.
Siegel on August 24 at the Aha-
voth Achim Synagogue. Rabbi
Harry H. Epstein performed the
ceremony.
Mr. Siegel was his son’s best
man. The groomsmen were
Jerome H. Siegel, of Augusta,
Donald C. Siegel, brothers of
the groom, Leon Siegel and
Gerald Siegel of Columbus, cou
