Shanker, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Shanker, became the bride
of Charles Jackson Katzenstein
of Warren Plains, N. C. and
New York City, Feb. 1, at the
Adath Jeshurun Synagogue, Mr.
Katzenstein is the son of Mrs.
Charles Katzenstein of New York
Cty and the late Mr. Katzenstein.
The ceremony was performed by
Rabbi Norman Goldberg of Au
gusta, assisted by Mr. Nathan
Persky.
Mrs. Alex Katzenstein of War-
renton, N. C., sister-in-law of the
bridegroom, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaid was Mrs. Gilbert
Linder of Pittsburgh, the bride’s
cousin. Little Miss Susan Sawil-
owsky was flower girl.
The bridegroom had as his best
man his brother, Alex Katzen
stein of Warrenton. Ushers were
Ed Yoder of Charlotte and .
Michael Shanker, brother of the
bride..
A reception was held immedi
ately following the ceremony at
the Jewish Center.
After a wedding trip to New
Orleans, the couple will reside
in Warren Plains, N. C.
