Temple Couples*
14-Act Capers Mar. 21
A j mtisical comedy revue-in-
the-round will be presented Sat
urday, March 21 at 8:30 p.m. in
the Temple Auditorium.
Sponsored by the T e mp 1 e
Couples’ Club, the show “Cou
ples Club Capers” will feature a
range of fourteen acts. Included
will be an Apache dance, a sing
ing waiters quartet, two singing
duets, a piano solo, a magician
and several comedy and dance
routines.
The auditorium will be ar
ranged in “theatre-in-the-round”
fashion. Larry Goldberg is pro
ducer and director and Mrs.
Hilfred Bossak, coordinator.
A dance and midnight buffet
will follow the show, according
to Mr. - and Mrs. Edward M.
Schuster, social vice presidents.
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Gay and
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dreyfoos
are chairmen of the dinner com
mittee.
The cast includes Irving Rub

Forum March 27
Dr. Joseph Golden, director of
Research of the Atlanta Univer
sity School of Social Work, will
discuss “The Voluntary Ghetto
—Is It Voluntary?” at the forum
the Temple Couples Club will
sponsor following Sabbath serv
ices at 8 p.m. Friday, March 27.
In observance of Couples
Club Sabbath, services will be
conducted by Bernard Karp and
Harry Weissman, with another
member, Martin Fenster, an at
torney and educator, serving as
moderator. Mr. and Mrs. Malvin
Mayer, vice presidents in charge
of cultural activities, have ar
ranged the program.

Bamev MedinU, vice-president
of the Atlanta Jewish Commun
ity Center and a member of the
Executive Committee of the
World Federation of YMHA’s
and Jewish Community Centers,
announced the preparation by
the World Federation of an In
ternational Jewish Community
Center guest card for use by
Center, members traveling in
foreign countries.
A special Activity Day at the
Center has been planned for
Friday, March 27, from 2:30 to
5:00 p.m. for seven through ten-
year-olds and is offered free of
charge to all Center members.
Kimball House to Go;
Old-Time Firms Must
Seek New Locations
The historic old Kimball House
in Atlanta will be torn down
within the next few months and
removal of this landmark will
mean a number of businesses
which have long been establish
ed in this Five Points area must
vacate.
Notices have gone out to a
radio shop, key shop, leather
shop, gun shop, tailor, furrier,
jeweler, a men’s shop and others,
many operated by Jewish busi
nessmen, who have until April
1 to get out.
Among -the first to move was
the Atlanta Office Machines,
Inc., now operated by Kurt
Doernberg, which has relocated
at 310 Peachtree St., N. E. This
firm was founded over three

Early ’59-’60 Enrollment
Gives Hebrew Academy
Unprecedented Boost
The enrollment of students at
the Hebrew Academy for the
fall semester has already reach
ed an all time high of 212 stu
dents, it was announced this
week by Dr. Irving Greenberg,
president.
Due to the increased interest
on the part of parents wishing
to enroll their children in the
Academy, he added, an addi
tional kindergarten, first and
second grades have been added.
This will also be the first year
that the school will have a
seventh grade class.
Places are still available for
children who have no Hebrew
background in the kindergarten
and second grades, he saicT
Tuition at the Hebrew Aca
demy is $300.00 for each child
in the kindergarten and $400.00
in the upper grades. Tuition in
cludes books, school supplies,
snacks for the kindergarten and
lunch for the upper grades.
