Guzy-Hirsch
Nancy Jane Guzy, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Guzy,
became the bride of John Nor
man Hirsch, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harold D. Hirsch, Sept. 9, at the
Standard Town and Country
Club. Rabbi Jacob Rothschild
performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Alex Gup was her sis
ter’s matron of honor, and the
two maids of honor were Elaine
Lesser and Jackie Kohn.
Bridesmaids were Linda Stern,
Jonee Fine and Juliana Wolf of
Atlanta, Karen Yarmy of
Youngstown, Ohio and Gail Lev
inson of Baltimore.
Mr. Hirsch served as his son’s
best man. Groomsmen were Alex
Gup, Thomas Asher, James Mon
tag, Gary Kaufman and Robert
Goldstein, of Atlanta, Alfred
Uhry of New York and Neil
Ringel of Cleveland.

Dotty Anne Hirsch served as
flower girl and Patrick Dittler

Mr. Hirsch and his bride are
spending their honeymoon in
Nassau and Bermuda. On their
return they will fly to New York
and thence to Williamsburg, Va.,
where they will live for six
months during Mr. Hirsch’s
tour of duty at Ft. Eustis. In
April they will come to Atlanta
for residence.

FAYETTEVILLE, N. C. — Dr.
and Mrs. Samuel Elfmon an

daughter, Linda Nan, to Joel
Fleishman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
W. Edward Fleishman of Fay

Miss Elfmon is a sophomore
at Smith College. Mr. Fleishman
is a 1958 graduate of the Uni
versity of North Carolina where
he was elected to Phi Beta Kap
pa and Beta Kappa Sigma. lie
was president of Pi Lambda
Phi.
A June wedding is planned.
Moskowitz-Haskins
Dorothy Ann Moskowitz,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Moskowitz of Atlanta, became
the bride of Bert Stanley Has
kins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis
Haskins of Macon, on Aug. 16
at the Progressive Club. Rabbi
Alvin Lieberman performed the
ceremony.
Mr. Haskins was his son’s best

Gladys Moskowitz was her

the bride’s parents at the club.
After a wedding trip ta Nassau
and Miami the couple will live

S.l. Sisterhood Open
Hoard Meet Sept. 21
Shearith Israel Sisterhood will
hold its opening meeting, Mon
day, Sept. 21, at 12 noon in the
synagogue social hall.
Mrs. Irving Libowsky, sister
hood president, has announced
that attendance prizes will be
awarded at 12 noon to empha
size attendance promptness. Mrs.
Rose Beckman, refreshment
chairman announced that a hot
luncheon will be served for $1 25
per person. Mrs. Jack Rosenberg,

Weiner, ME. 6-5491, are in charge
of reservations.
An original musical skit, un
