in an anti-aircraft artillery batta
lion and saw action in Africa,
Sicily, Anzio Beachhead in Italy,
France and Germany. During his
tour he participated in three in
vasions.
Mrs. Warshaw is the former Miss
Ann Wagner of Boston, Mass. They
have three daughters. Susan, Beth
and Amy, and live in Forest Hills.
Long active in civic affairs Mr.
Warshaw has held offices in most
of local organizations. Twice he
has served as a director of the
Chamber of Commerce, once as a
vice president. He is also an ex-
officio member of the county de
velopment board, a member of the
Lions, Elks, Masons, Order of the
Eastern Star, he is a past com
mander of American Legion Post
93, and past vice-commander of
the local veterans of Foreign
Wars post, and a past president of
the B‘nai B'rith. He also is a past
president of Walterboro High
School Booster Club, the Walter
boro Swimming Pool Corp. and a
member of the Board of Temple
Mt. Sinai. Mr. Warshaw is a dis
trict committeeman for the Pine-
land District of the Boy Scouts
of America and vice president of
the Forest Hills Elementary School
Parent-Teacher Organization. In
addition to these organizations Mr.
Warshaw has served several times
as county fund drive chairman for
several of the health fund drives.
Mr. Warshaw has been associat
ed with Warshaw’s since returning
from the service.
