BUTLER’S SHOE CORP.
It’s a satisfaction to own a good growth and income
stock. Butler’s Shoe Corp., serving the South for over 30
years, ranks among the ten largest women’s shoe chains in
the country, with 178 stores in operation. The company paid
a 5% stock dividend in 1958-9, and split 4 for 3 in Septemfjer,
1959. Dividends have been paid each year since 1940.
For 10 months ending April 30, 1960, sales increased
12% or $2,559,000 over a like period of 1959. We believe this
stock, selling around 10 times earnings, and paying 60c
yearly dividend, provides both income and growth oppor
tunity.
