Mr*. Arthur Berger of River-
dale, N.Y., announces the engage
ment of her daughter, Barbara
Joan Berger, to Ronald Morton
Goldman, son of Dr. and Mrs.
Benjamin Goldman of Hazle-
hurst. Mias Berger is the daugh
ter of the late Mr. Berger.
The bride-elect, a graduate of
the Riverdale Country School for
Girls, received an A.B. degree
from Wells College in Aurora,
NY.
Mr. Goldman received a B.S.
degree from the University of
Georgia. He is a student in the
School of Pharmacy at the Uni
versity of Georgia. He is a mem
ber of Alpha Epsilon Pi Frater
nity.
The wedding will take place
August 28 at the Essex House
Hotel in New York. The couple
will live in Athens

Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Margolis
of Newport News, Va., announce
the engagement of their daugh
ter, Marilyn Margolis, to Dr.
Allan Wasserman of Hempstead,
NY.
Miss Margolis is a senior
English major at Emory Univer
sity. Dr. Wasserman is'' a grad
uate of Illinois College of Op
tometry. He is practicing op
tometry in Forest Park, Ga He
is a member of the Georgia Op-
tometric Association, and serves
as vice president of the Fifth
District Society.
The wedding will take place
August 28 in Atlanta.

berg of Atlanta and Mr. and
Mrs. William Pearlman of
Charleston entertained recently
at a cocktail party and buffet
supper at the Ft. Sumter Hotel,
Charleston, honoring their niece
and nephew Lt. and Mrs. Frank
Margulis who ' were married
February 28 in Los Angeles. Mrs.
Margulis is the former Rosalyn
Danneman, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. J. B. Danneman of Atlanta.
Lt. Margulis is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Margulis of Min
neapolis. After spending ten days
in Atlanta with her family, the
couple will return to San Fran
cisco where Lt. Margulis is sta
tioned;

Dothan announce the recent
birth of a daughter.
Dr. and Mrs. Julius Wenger
of Atlanta announce the birth of
a daughter, Judith Carolyn, on
July 18. Mrs. Wenger is the

Miss Mary Tabachnick, form
erly of Atlanta, left America last
weekend as a member of the
United Nations Commission to
the Congo.
Miss Tabachnick, an admin
istrative specialist, is expected
to remain in Africa at Leopold
ville for about six months.
Her mother, Mrs. Nathan Kar-
lick, the former Mrs. N. Butler,
of Atlanta, was in New York to
bid her farewell.

Mrs. I. Kenneth Zacks announce

ter, Donna Gayle, to Laurence
Edward Harris, son of Milton
Harris of Baltimore and Mrs.
Helen Harris of New York City.
Miss Zacks was graduated
from New Bern High School and
has been attending Emerson
College, Boston, where she maj
ored in speech therapy. She is
a member of Sigma Alpha Eta,
national honorary sorority, and
Sigma Delta Tau, social sorority.
She plans to enter the senior
class of the University of Mary
land following her wedding.
Mr. Harris was graduated
from Columbia University in
New York City, where he was
captain of the crew team and
a member of the varsity basket
ball team. He served as a lieu
tenant in the United States Navy
for two years. He plans to enter
the Law School of Georgetown
University, Washington, D.C., in
September.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Chester
of Miami announce the engage
ment of their niece, Jean Mar
cia Deutsch, to Jerry Yaeger,
son of Mr. and Mr*. Samuel
Yaeger of Cedarhurst, Long
Island,. N.Y. A September wed
ding is planned.
Miss Deutsch attended the
University of Miami. She is em
ployed at the Atlanta Jewish
Community Center. Mr. Yaeger
is a student at Georgia Tech.
