AEPI Honors Two Atlantans Atlanta Hebrew
High School
In Fifth Year
Two Atlantans received special honors at the recent international
convention of Aloha Epsilon Pi fraternity concluded recently in
Miami Beach. Jerry Fields, right, was named outstanding chapter
Advisor, selected m competition with advisors of 72 other fraternity
groups. National AEPi President David Kaplan (1.), Dallas, is shown
presenting the Outstanding Alumnus Award for individual fraternity
activity to Paul Aronin. Mr. Fields was identified with the AEPi
chapter at Georgia State College.
Hebrew Academy to Hold
Annual Membership Meeting
The Atlanta Hebrew High
School, conducted by the Atlanta
Bureau of Jewish Education,
opened the fifth year of classes
on Sunday, September 18th at
the Atlanta Jewish Community
Center Students were assigned

Mrs. Frank Spiegel, general
chairman, has announced that
the annual ‘‘Break-the-Fast
Dance” of Congregation Beth El
will be held in the Rainbow
Room of the Dinkler-Plaza Hotel
on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 9 p.m.
Music will be by Albert Cole
man and his orchestra.
A door prize to be given is a
weekend for two at the Castle
in the Clouds, Lookout Mt ,
Tenn.

Class A-ll students study
twice weekly—on Tuesday eve
ning from 7-9 at the Hebrew
Institute building and on Sunday
morning from 10-1 at the Atlanta
Jewish Community Center. The
elective session is held on Thurs
day evening at the Hebrew In
stitute building
Twenty-two students are regis
tered for classes this year, mark
ing a 40% increase in the student
body over last year Registration
will also be open on Sunday
morning, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. at
the Community Center, and par
ent* are urged to register their
children for classes immediately
