Leningrad University in Russia
as an exchange student. George
left Russia in July and toured

be glad to learn he is out after
an illness of two weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rosenzweig
of Atlanta announce the arrival

the strife and disorders whicn
have attended the birth of other
new states in Asia and Africa ”
Dr. Silver speculated on "how
many more bombings and kill
ings of Arabs by Arabs will have
to take place before a new
statesmanship will arise in the
Arab world which will finally
turn the page of futile intransi-
geance and will open a new
chapter of friendly cooperation
with Israel which will prove to
be a boon to every state and
people in the Near East.”
Austin J. Tobin, executive di
rector of the Port of New York
authority, who visited Israel last
spring for the World Bank, told
an earlier session of the confer
ence that Arab hostility has
mer in Japan, where she lived
with a Japanese family under
the auspices of the Experiment
in International Living. After
leaving Japan, Miss Greenblatt
traveled in Hong Kong, South
Viet Nam, Cambodia and Thail
and. She will leave Sunday for
Providence, R.I., where she will
be a junior at Pembroke Col
lege.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sabetai of
Atlanta announce the birth of a
daughter, Daisy Rachel, on Sept.

was chosen runner-up in the In
ternational Sweetheart of Alpha
Epsilon Pi, the social fraternity
meeting at the Eden Roc Hotel
in Miami.
Mrs. Haskell Frostig and sons
have returned to Atlanta after
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Abe Kruger of Fitzgerald. Mi
Frostig spent the weekend in
Fitzgerald and accompanied his
family home.
L. Pazol of Atlanta is much
improved and has returned home
from the hospital.
Friends of B. Z. Taylor of At
lanta will be glad to hear that
he is convalescing at home after
undergoing surgery.
Mrs. Bernie Shapiro has just
returned from several weeks va
cation where she attended the
WOMPI Convention in Toronto,
Canada, then went on to visit
with family and friends in New
York and Philadelphia
The Briar Vista Elementary
School PTA will hold their first
meeting of the year, Monday.

William Benjamin Sr.
William Benjamin Sr., 50, of
Augusta, died September 3.
Graveside services were held in
Westover Memorial Park. Dr.
Norman Goldberg officiated.
A native of Baltimore, he had
lived in Augusta 30 years.
He was the husband of Mrs.
Rosina Pearl Benjamin. He was
a salesman for Truval Mfg. Co.,
and a member of the Congrega
tion Children of Israel.
Surviving besides his wife are
one son, William Benjamin Jr.
of Augusta; one daughter, Char
lene Benjamin of Augusta; three
brothers, Ben Benjamin of Phila
delphia, Herman Benjamin and
Harry Becker, both of Orange
burg, S. C., and several gieces
and nephews.
