DANVILLE, Va. — Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Abrams announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Sylvia Sabina, to Myron Jerome
Fogel, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J.
Fogel of Augusta.
Miss Abrams attended Rich
mond Professional Institute. Mr.
Fogel received a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree
from the University of Georgia
where he was a member of Tau
Epsilon Phi social fraternity and
ODK honor fraternity. He is
affiliated with Rich’s Inc., in
Knoxville.
The wedding is planned for
Oct. 30.

The bridegroom, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph V. Freitag Sr.,
of Atlanta, attended George
town University and was grad
uated from Parsons School of
Design. He is an interior and
industrial designer and a mem
ber of the American Institute
of Decorators.

Mrs. Morris Evans of Sparta

their daughter, Rhoda, to Ger
ald Shapiro, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Myer Shapiro of Wagener, S. C.
Miss Evans was graduated
from White County High School
in Sparta and received a Bache
lor of Arts degree from Vander
bilt Universty in Nashville. She
is a member of Alpha Epsilon
Phi sororoity and served on the
Women’s Advisory Council at
Vanderbilt.
Mr. Shapiro is a graduate of
Wagener High School and at
tended the University of Georgia.

Joyce Shapiro, to Barry Howard
Klein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Klein of New York.
Miss Shapiro attended the
University of Miami, where she
was vice president of Alpha
Epsilon Phi Sorority and under
secretary of the public relations
division of the Student Body
Government. She furthered her
studies at Emory University and
at Oaxaco, Oaxaco, Mexico, ma
joring in human relations and
language. •
Mr. Klein is a graduate of
Syrause University. He served
as a lienutenant in the U.S.
Army with active duty in Ko
rea and Japan. He is associated
with Hornblower and Weeks,
members of the New York Stock
Exchange.
The engagment was an
nounced at a surprise dinner
party at the Standard Town and
Country Club. A cocktail supper
and dance was held at the home
of the bride-elect's parents on
Ridgewood Road a few days
later.

Miami; the bride-elect’s sisters

Mr. Franco was graduated
from the University of Alabama,
where he was a member of the
Kappa Nu fraternity. Having
served as a lieutenant in the
U.S. Army during the Korean
conflict, the future bridegroom
is associated with Prudenial In
surance Co. of America.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Sirower

Ann Sirower, to Victor Romano,

Miss Sirower attended the
University of Georgia, where she

Epsilon sorority. She is em
ployed by TV Guide Magazine.
Mr. Romano is a graduate of
Georgia State College where he
was a member of the Alpha
Epsilon Phi fraternity. He is
head of the Victor Realty Firm.

matron of honor.
The bridesmaids were Mrs.
Armans Senoff, cousin of the
groom; Mrs. Donald Diamond,
Miss Carla Weitz and Miss Jill
Weitz, cousins of the bride, and
Mrs. Jacob Cohen, another cou
sin from New Orleans.
The couple went to Hilton
Head, S. C., for their wedding
trip and will reside in Atlanta.
