AZA Chapter 134 will hold its
32nd annual banquet and dance
on Saturday, Oct 15 at 6:30, p.m.
at the Dinkier Plaza Hotel
Dinner will be served at 6:30.

Iraq Protests
Kennedy's ZOA Talk
WASHINGTON, (JTA)—Iraq
has handed a formal diplomatic-
note to the Department of State,
protesting a recent address by
Sen John F Kennedy before
the Zionist Organization of
America. Senator Kennedy is a
member, of the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee
According to an Iraqi news
agency report the protest was
lodged because the Kennedy
speech "contained blatant praise
of world Zionism and Jewry.”
The note said that “it is truly
painful that electioneering pro
paganda should be exploited for
the purpose of harming the
Arabs and their legal rights and
for supporting the usurping
group which continues commit
ting crimes against the rights of
the peaceful Palestinian Arabs-
a group responsible for displac
ing one million Arab refugees”

Mr Ellmann is a graduate of
the Berlin Automotive School.
He has lived in Israel and Hol
land He now lives in Atlanta
where he is employed by Bill
Spreen Motors, Inc.

Trace, daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Trace, became
the bride of Robert Sumner
Orans, son of Mr and Mrs.
Morris Oransky of Portland, Me.,
at a home ceremony, Sept. 18.

and Rabbi I M Aisenstark per
formed the ceremony.
Mrs. Isadore H Weitz, sister
of the bride, served as matron
of honor. The bride’s cousin,
Elaine Rosalind GFoldberg, was
flower girl
Jarrold S. Orans of Sharon,
Mass, served as his brother’s
best man.
After a wedding trip to the
North Carolina mountains, Mr.
and Mrs. Orans are at home in
Baltimore, Md.

Mrs. Lefkoff stated that
"ORT's vocational training in
depressed and underdeveloped
areas of the world is important
to America and to the entire free
world ORT’s new task is to meet
the increased demands of train
ing manpower in Europe, North
Africa and the Middle East."

pm an election party will be
given for members of the
Couples Club According to Mr.
and Mrs Edgar Gay, social chair
men, the program will feature
unusual games and stunts on the
election theme.
On Friday, Oct 28, following
the evening service, the group
will present Sylvan Meyers edi
tor and vice president of the
Daily Times, Gainesville, who
will speak on “Georgia and Na
tional Politics.” Mr. Meyers, a
Neiman Fellow at Harvard, won
the 1950-51 Georgia Press Asso
ciation Award for the best edi
torial of the year. He was award
ed second prize in the National
Freedom Foundation editorial
competition.
