Congregation Beth El’s Gala Sprihg Dance at 8:30 pjn. Sunday,
March 26, at the Progressive Club.
The 17-piece orchestra is composed mostly of former musicians
experienced in the era of American dance music known as the “Big
Band Sound of the 40’s.” All are veterans who have had years of
experience with such big-name bands as Les Brown, Claude Thorn
hill, Dorsey Brothers and Benny Goodman. Tickets at $2.50 a person
can be secured at the door.

was given for the benefit of the
club’s therapy project among
polio patients at Talmadge Memo
rial Hospital.

recently visited with her chil
dren, Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Serota-
ta and family.
Dr. Robert B. Greenblat, pro
fessor at the Medical College of
Georgia, recently spoke at the
Walton Way Temple Brother
hood meeting.
Dr. Ira Goldberg has accepted
the chairmanship of the Day
Camp Committee.
Mrs. Gilbert Linder and daugh
ter of Falls Church, Md., spent
a week recently with Mrs. Lind
er’s parents and family, Mr. and
Mrs. Marvin Rifkin of Aiken,

A musical comedy, “Oi Mon
tana,” will be presented at 8:30
p.m., Sunday, March 26, by the
Daughters of Israel at Adas Yesh-
uron Synagogue. Rabbi Chaim
B. Seiger is author of the book
and lyrics.
Dr. and Mrs. Norman M. Gold-
burg and Mr. and Mrs. A. A.
Friedman have returned from a
Caribbean cruise which took
them to Puerto Rico, Jamacia,
the Virgin Islands and Haiti.

The Dothan Temple Brother
hood held its monthly meeting
March 13 at the Charcoal Steak-
house. Rabbi Newman was the
guest speaker His topic was The
Legal Side of the Eichmann
Case Mr Gustav Oppenheimer
of The Southern Israelite attend
ed this meeting by invitation of
the Brotherhood.
Mr and Mrs. Nathan Green
berg are leaving for a two month
trip and will visit Israel, Italy,
Greece. Germany and other Eu
ropean countries. They will meet
with Mr. Greenberg’s brother,
who is stationed in Hanan, Ger
many at the U. S. Helicopter
Base.
Congregation Emanu-El is plan
ning a Passover Seder on Friday,
March 31 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hous
ton Hotel. Mrs. Harold Blumberg
is chairman of the arrangements
committee.
Rabbi and Mrs. Isaac Neuman
have returned from Jacksonville
where they attended the South
eastern Conference of American
Rabbis on March 6-7. The rabbi
addressed the monthly meeting
of Hadassah on March 2. The
subject of his address was “Crisis
wi Zionism.” On March 13 he will
speak to the Brotherhood on the
subject, “Justice to Eichmann."
The Kiwanis Club of Panama
City has invited the rabbi to be
guest speaker at their meeting on
March 29. He will discuss “Pass-
over and the Last Supper.”
The Temple Emanu-El Broth
erhood annual “Brotherhood
Award” was given this year to
Myer Blumberg. The award was
presented at the Annual Brother
hood Interfaith Service on Feb
ruary 24.
Mr. Blumberg was chosen from
a large group of civic minded
Dothanians in recognition of his
faithful service to the Dothan
community, the Temple, and the
Brotherhood.
Recently elected officers of the
Brotherhood are: Sidney Katz,
president; Jose Kraselsky, vice
president; and Jacob Behr, secre
tary-treasurer.
Mr and Mrs. Issie Kraselsky
visited in Dothan with Mrs. Ab-
bie Minsk.
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Grossman
had as their guests Mrs. David
Grossman from New York, Mrs.
Frank Kushner and children
from Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Ben
Young from Florida. They were
in Dothan to attend the Bas
Mitzvah of Robyn Grossman, on
March 3.
