Atlantans Leave for Summer
At Tetonage Camp in Europe
Mta. Allan Gould of Atlanta
will be working at a summer
camp for teenagers in Europe this
summer from July 6 to August
24.
The camp, in Kitzbuhel, Aus
tria, is operated by her sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
David Reich of Chevy Chase,
Maryland. Mr. Reich is an attor
ney in Washington.
The chalet in Kitzbuhel which
houses the camp is described by
Mrs. Gould as a “sort of St. Mau
ri tz, not quite so popular."
“We will fly to Brussels on a
Sabena jet, then to Paris, where
we will stay at Sorbonne for two
days," said Mrs. Gould. “It really
can be described as a touring and
camping excursion in Europe.
From Paris we will proceed
through South Germany and Zu
rich.”
The camp site in Austria will
be used as a base from which the
teenagers, ranging in age from
thirteen to seventeen will be
taken on tours of other areas.
There are plenty of activities to
keep everyone busy at the camp
as well Boating, swimming, ten
nis, water skiing and even winter
skiing, if conditions are right,
mountain climbing and hiking.
The campers will stop in Vi
enna overnight. They will take
in the Salzburg music festival
and will take many side trips to
Innesbrook, a neighboring town
described as “old, picturesque and
quite Austrian."
The children and the counselors
Will speak only German and
French during their two months
in Europe. They will see such
activities as the International
Tennis Tournament, which will
be held on the camps own courts.
On the return trip, the group
will drive through the Brenner
pass into Italy, and will stop in
Venice, Florence and Rome. They
plan to spend at least two days
in the latter city. They will re
turn to the United States on
August 24.
Mrs. Gould noted that all the
children are exceptionally well-
rounded, with many and varied
interests. Among them will be
Miss Ruth Abrams, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Abrams of
Atlanta. Mr. Abrams has been
stationed in Washington to help
create the Peace Corps. The
Reich’s three children will also
