Sonny Greenberg Heads
Shearith Israel Bond Dinner
H. A. (Sonny) Greenberg,
noted business end communal
leader, has been named general
chairman tor the Shearith Israel
Bonds for Israel Bond Campaign,
which will culminate at a dinner
on December 17, it was announc
ed by Moe D. Horowjtz, president
of Congregation Shearith Israel.
Mr. Greenberg is vice president
and general manager of Southern
Bakeries Frozen Foods Division,
and is a noted pioneer in the
frozen foods industry. A native of
Canada, Mr. Greenberg has been
a resident of Atlanta for the
past 23 years. He is married to
the former Pauline Levitt, and
they have two children, Mrs.
Gloria Cohen, and Mr. Norman
Greenberg.
Mr. Greenberg has been active
in the sports program of the Jew
ish Community Center for many
years, and has been active on
many communal drives. He cur
rently serves as treasurer of the
Progressive Club.
Mr. Greenberg, who headed the
1960 Israel Bond Drive at Con
gregation Shearith Israel, in ac
cepting the position of general
chairman stated, “Israel Bonds
is the American way for foreign
investment. Israel’s record as an
underdeveloped nation has shown
remarkable growth in the past
ten years, since the inception of
the Israel Bond Drive.
“I was extremely pleased to
learn that Israel today has been
invited by other underprivileged
nations to participate in the de
velopment of their countries, and
that the technique and the in
dustries that Israel has been able
to provide has been a shining ex
ample for the world to see.”
Mr. Greenberg further stated
that, “Israel Bonds are every
body’s business, and investing in
Israel Bonds provides the where-

withal for Israel’s economic de
velopment program, and gives a
fair and fine return to the in
vestors."

Klotz.” Mrs. Klotz will present
vignettes in costume. Members,
their husbands and friends are

Victor Maslia, president of Or
Ve Shalom, has personally taken
the general chairmanship of the
Israel Bond Drive for his Con
gregation, and has named Charlie
Franco and Morris Franco as co-
chairmen of the drive.
Mr. Maslia also announced that
the Or Ve Shalom members will
join with the members of Con
gregation Shearith Israel at a
joint dinner scheduled tor Dec.
17, at the Shearith Israel Syna
gogue.

AJCC Formalizes Medintz Camp Group
Max L. Kuniansk^, president of the Atlanta Jewish Community Center, announced the establish
ment of the Camp Barney Medintz Building Committee under the chairmanship of Joseph Cuba.
In preparation for its work of planning the development of Camp Barney Medintz site in White
County, Georgia, the committee has interviewed some of the top nations Camp Planners and Operators.
These have included Jack Goldberg, executive director of Wei-Met Camps, W. Glenn Wallace of Minne
apolis, and Charles A. fcdtoid of White Plains, New York.

Jewish War Veterans. He is active
in the Jewish Welfare Fund, and
has served as co-chairman of Spe
cial Gifts. He is currently active
in the Building Fund Campaign
of the Jewish Community Cra

The Mayfair Club will be the
setting for the Tel Chai group of
Hadassah’s opening meeting and
Mrs. Jerry Blonder, president

The meeting will be in the form
of a Brunch on Monday, Nov.
