Telethon Dec. 3

ward Krick, co-chairmen of the
1961-62 Hebrew Academy mem
bership drive, have announced
plans for an all-day “telethon”
Sunday, Dec. 3.
This one-day “blitz” campaign
for members will start with a
large phone committee calling
former members, as yet unpaid,
and prospective new members.
Other committee workers in
radio cars will be dispatched to
homes to facilitate payment of
dues.
Academy President Dave Al-
terman pointed out the need for
“the same continued fine com
munity support which has been
afforded in the past.” He added:
“The Academy is a school de
voted to the American commun
ity, and more specifically to the
Atlanta Jewish community. A
Jewish youngster, regardless of
parental religions affiliation —
whether traditional or liberal—
can secure an ini l—lie Hebraic
education nti reuitag Judaism’s
cultural and spiritual ▼mines.'’
Goal of the drive is a thousand
members. Persons not contacted
Sunday are urged to call TR. 3-
1701 and join the growing list
of Hebrew Academy members.
