JFK's Brother
Discounts U.S.
Nazis as "Mad"
NEW YORK, (WUP) —Attor
ney-General Robert Kennedy
thi* week discounted the potency
of the American Nazi Party by
terming its fifteen odd members
"a little mad.”
The young brother of the Presi
dent made this statement before
a group of foreign newspapermen
at the new Foreign Correspond
ents Center situated on East 46th
Street close to the UN.
He referred to the Rockwell
Nazis as an insignificant element
on the U.S. scene but “unpleas
ant to have in our midst.” His
reference to the American Nazis
was evoked by a question on the
Birch Society which he once
again called “ridiculous.”

his cell. Ben-Gurion is not the
working people of Israel to whom
my brotherly feelings go.”
He also remarked that “all
Jews outside of Israel are doom
ed to assimilation wherever they
live. I think, however, that in
the Soviet Union this process
may be speedier than elsewhere.”
He said he did not rule out a
possible visit to Israel “when
and if I find the time.”
General Dragunsky later de
nied a report published in some
Jewish publications that a num
ber of Jewish generals attending
the recent Communist Party Con
gress in Moscow had submitted
a request for the preparation by
the government of a separate list
of Jewish casualties and war
heroes of World War II. He term
ed this report “a shameful lie.”
Emphasing that he himself par
ticipated in the Congress together
with other Jewish generals, he
said he would have known about
such a request. He added that
such a list was unnecessary and
undesirable because the casual
ties of other Soviet nationalities
did not appear on separate lists.
Other than the press confer
ence and his comment on the
separate list report, General
Dragunsky did not hold any pub
lic meetings or conferences.
Throughout his stay in Paris, he
expressed his admiration for the
Warsaw material and “the sym
bol of peace which it represents.”
He promised to inform the peo
ple of Moscow about these senti
ments, and to describe them in
articles for the Soviet press.
