Jacobs-Matz
Carol Lynne Jacobs, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Sol D. Jacobs of
Atlanta, became the bride of
Philip Ira Matz, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Matz of Baltimore,
on December 23, at the Shearith
Israel Synagogue. Rabbi Sydney
K Mossman performed the cere
mony
David Geffen served as best
man. Mark Jacobs, brother of the
bride, was the groomsman. Ush

Susan Matz, sister of the
bridegroom, was the maid-of-
honor. Elaine Rosenberg and
Maury Isenberg kept the bride’s
book.
After the ceremony the bride’s
parents entertained at a recep-
tion in the synagogue’s social
hall. After a wedding trip to
Miami Beach, the newlyweds
will reside in Baltimore.
Sager-Kogan
JACKSONVILLE—Susan Mar
la Sager, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. A E. Sager, became the
bride of Robert Stephen Kogan,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney R.
Kogan of Atlanta, December 23,
at the Jacksonville Jewish Cen
ter. Rabbi Moshe Goldblum
performed the ceremony.
Mr. Kogan was his son’s best
man. Ushers were Robert Roth,
Jeff Sager, brother of the bride;
Harry Zaban, Michael Schwartz,
Leonard Jacobs, Stephen Wolf,
Dr. Paul J Witten and Marvin
Pechter.
Mrs. Robert Roth of Atlanta
was matron-of-honor. Brides
maids were Gayle Hayden, Sally
Cohen, Mrs. Mathis Becker and
Dana Kogan, sister of the bride
groom Margaret and Allison
Rose were junior bridesmaids.
Following the ceremony a re
ception was given at the Beau-
clerc Country Club. After a wed
ding trip to Miami Beach and
Nassau the newlyweds will re
side in Atlanta
Zimmerman-Ziff
Sydney Rae Zimmerman,
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Hyman
S. Zimmerman, became the
bride of Arthur Edwin Ziff, son
of Judge and Mrs. Jacob Ziff of
Great Neck, N. Y., December 24,
at the Shearith Israel Synago
gue. Rabbi Sydney K. Mossman
and Rabbi Tobias Geffen per
formed the ceremony.
Mrs. Jacob Reiss III of Mo
bile was her sister’s matron of
honor. Oother attendants were
Mrs. A. Marvin Zimmerman and
Mrs. Arnold Gross. Jan Weiner
was junior bridesmaid. Mrs. Mat
thew Robbins kept the bride’s
book.
Judge Ziff was his son’s best
man. Groomsmen were Dr. A.
Marvin Zimmerman, brother of
the bride; Jacob Reiss III of Mo
bile, and Mitchell Lewis of Mi
ami Beach.
Immediately after the cere
mony Dr. and Mrs. Zimmerman
entertained at a seated dinner.
Out-of-town guests attending
the wedding were Judge and
Mrs. Ziff, Great Neck, N.Y.; Mr.
and Mrs. William Steerman, Mr.
and Mrs. David Emmer, Mr. and
Mrs. Phillip Emmer, Mr. and
Mrs. Sidney Kalm, all of Miami
Beach; Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin
Cemaj of Mexico City; Dr. and
Mrs. Yale J. Fodiman, Stanford,
Conn.; Mr. and Mrs. Sol Katz,
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Katz, and
Norman Katz, of New Orleans;
Mr. and Mrs. William Oster and
sons Jerry and Marvin, Mrs.

Carrol-Zeitlin
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Carrol of
Atlanta, announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Phyllis
Carrol, to Alan Zeitlin, son of
Mr and Mrs Joe Zeitlin of
Nashville.
Miss Carrol was graduated
from the Westminister Schools,
where she was a member of the
May Court and valedictorian of
her class. She attended Welles
ley College and is now a student
at Emory University.
Mr. Zeitlin will receive his
bachelor’s degree in civil engi
neering from Georgia Tech in
March. He is a member of Alpha
Epsilon Pi fraternity.
Mr and Mrs. Donald E. Salz-
rnan of Atlanta, announce the
birth of a daughter, Hilary Lynn,
on December 22. Mrs. Salzman
is the former Rochelle Wollner.
Maternal grandparents are Mr
and Mrs. D. L. Wollner and Mr
and Mrs M II Salzman are pa
ternal grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney I Levine
and daughters Janice and Donna
of Mt Vernon, NY, were guests
of their relatives in Atlanta, Mr
and Mrs. Morton P. Levine, dur
ing the winter holidays.
Dana Kogan, daughter of Mr
and Mrs. Sidney Kogan of At
lanta, left for Mexico City on
New Year’s day to attend the
winter quarter session of school
at Mexico City College. Miss
Kogan is a sophomore at Ohio
State University.
Mr. and Mrs Ralph S. Turry
announce the birth of a son,
Alan Scott, on December 9 Mrs.
Turry is the former Elaine Bell
amy. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Benamy
are maternal grandparents and
paternal grandparent is Mrs.
Arthur A. Turry of Rockville
Center, N Y
Dr. and Mrs. Alvin Siegel of
Key West, Fla., announce the
birth of a daughter, Robyn
Liza, on December 2. Mrs. Siegel
is the former Dorene Stein of
Pittsburgh. The grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Siegel of
Atlanta and Mr. and Mrs. David
Stein of Pittsburgh.

birth of a son, Michael Scott, on
