shown and discussed by Mr.
Sam Rosenberg, Director of the
Atlanta Bureau of Jewish Edu
cation and Mr. Joe Margolis,
teacher at the Hebrew Academy.

The program will feature a
musical trio with Mimi Warren
Alperin at the piano* Mrs. Al-
perin is famed for her profession
al playing and her album en
titled “Mimi ^arren Pops the
Classics.” She is a graduate of
Jiflliard School of Music where
she also taught. She will play
with the trio as well as in solo.
All members and their mates
are invited to this meeting.

versity, will be guest speaker at
the B’nai B’rith Gate City Lodge
January meeting.
The meeting will be held Mon
day, January 22 at 8 p.m., at the
Atlanta Jewish Community Cen
ter. The public is cordially in
vited
Dr Herberg, an outstanding
scholar and philosopher, has
authored several volumes on
general and Jewish subjects.
Atlantan to Help
Mizrachi Expansion
Mrs. Harry Robkin, president
of Atlanta Mizrachi chapter, has
been appointed by the National
Organization Committee and
Mizrachi Board to serve on
its Organization Committee and
Speakers Bureau for the south
ern region.
Her plans include visits with
community and religious leaders
in many southern cities for the
purpose of formulating plans to
increase the number of Mizrachi
chapters m the region.
Among the cities which Mrs.
Robkin is planning to visit short
ly are Birmingham, Montgomery,
Mobile and New Orleans.

Jan. 14 on TV Cast of
‘John Brown's Body’
Richard Boone will play the
leading role of the narrator of
“John Brown’s Body,” Stephen
Vincent Benet’s Pulitzer Prize
winning poem, which will have
its television premiere on the
CBS Television Network Sunday,
Jan. 14, (1:30-2:30 p.m. EST).
The special full-hour program,
as previously announced, will be
produced by the Public Affairs
Department of CBS News in co
operation with the Anti-Defama
tion League of B’nai B’rith. It
will he broadcast in connection
with the League’s annual Ameri
ca’s Democratic Legacy award,
which this year is being given
to Adlai E. Stevenson, United
States Ambassador to the United
Nations, who will also appear on
the program.
Mr. Boone, in addition to star
ring as Paladin in the popular
Western series, "Have Gun, Wil
Travel,” on the CBS Television
Network, has appeared on “Play
house 90” and other television
drama programs, on Broadway
as Abraham Lincoln in “The
Rivalry” -for which he won high
critical acclaim and in John
Wayne’s motion picture, “The
Alamo,” in which he portrayed
Sam Houston.

“War and Peace” will be the
theme of the Great Books Insti
tute to be held at Oglethorpe
University on January 27.

JOJ Installation, Reunion
Jewels of Judaea, B.B.G . held
its installation tea on December
23, at the Top of the Mart, for
the induction of the new “MITS.”
At the same time all alumnae
gathered for a reunion. The in
duction ceremony was conduct
ed by all the past presidents with
Judy Cohen, last past president,
acting as “MIT” mother.
A skit depicting many occa
sions of the preceding years was
given.
