Mr and Mrs. Julian B Mohr
announce the engagement of
their sister, Linda Stern of At
lanta, to Joseph Andrew Meisel
III of St. Louis, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Andrew Meisel Jr
Miss Stern is the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Stern. She attended North Ful
ton High School and is now a
senior at Washington University
in St Louis. She is captain of
the cheer leading squad, vice
president of student dormitories
and a member of the 1961 home
coming Court and of Chimes
honorary society.
The future bridegroom is a
senior in the School of Architec-
ure at Washington University. He
is a member of Beta Theta Pi
fraternity and is treasurer of the
Architect Council.
Miss Stern is the granddaugh
ter of Mrs. Harold Hirsch Sr.,
and the late Mr. Hirsch of At
lanta, and of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Jules Stern of Montgomery.
Mr. Meisel is the grandson of
Mrs. Joseph Andrew Meisel and
the late Mr. Meisel and of Mrs.
George Evans and the late Mr
Evans, all of St. Louis.

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Silverstein
of Atlanta announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Rochelle,
to David Jerry Herschberg, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Herschberg
of Brooklyn, New York
Miss Silverstein, a graduate of
Druid Hills High School, attended
the University of Georgia for two
years. She is now attending Geor
gia State College, where she»is
on the current Dean’s List and a
member of Phi Chi Theta Honor
Sorority. Miss Silverstein will
graduate this coming May, when
she will receive a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree
in Business Education
Mr Herschberg, a graduate of
Seward Park High School, re
ceived his Bachelor of Science in
Broadcasting from Emerson Col
lege in Boston. He' is now sta
tioned at Fort Gordon, where he
is classified as a Specialist 4th
Class.

Following a reception and

couple left for a wedding trip to
Florida.

ish Studies was scheduled to be
gin its Winter Term Wednesday,
January 10, but a snow storm
brought tlje activities of the en
tire city to a halt. The Winter
Term will therefore begin on
Wednesday evening, January 24
at 6 pm, at the Atlanta Jewish
Community Center, it was an
nounced this week.

The twelfth annual production
of “Hadassah Bresents" will take
place Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the
Jewish Educational Alliance.
Visitors at the Arthur Solomon
Jr. home are their daughter,

At the recent annual meeting
of the congregation of Temple
Mickve Israel, Dr. Levi A. Olan,
rabbi of Temple Emanu-El in
Dallas was the principal speaker,
together with prominent clergy
men of the Southwestern states.
After visiting Mrs. Harry A
Zarem, during the holidays, Bob
by Zarem spent part of the* holi
day season in New York.
Beter Mann, son of Mrs. Bettye
Miller, formerly of Savannah,
and now a resident of New York
is making his motion-picture
debut in “Pocketful of Miracles."
He plays the role of the Spanish
Carlos in the picture.
