At Seattle University, a Jesuit
school, students read the Old
Testament from a Protestant
Bible and are , quizzed on then-

of the students,” said Very Rev.
Webster Patterson, S. J., the uni

Rabbi Jacobovitz, believed to
be the first rabbi to teach in an
American Catholic university,
said he feels “right at home” on
the campus and enjoys his free
dom of teaching, but there was
one difficulty. “It was a long
time,” he said, “before the stu
dents stopped'calling me Father.”

to consider basic problems con

Washington Teamster reports
that the Washington State De

a full scale program for prop

artificial spawning. The essential
ingredient in the new process is
methyl pentynol, a tranquilizer
added to the water in which the
trout are immersed before they
are hand-stripped of their eggs
or sperm. The department says
that “this refinement in spawn

From the standpoint of fisher

progress since there will be more
fish in the streams. But the trout
probably resent the unwelcome

“Although our natural inclina
