Braunstein—Fine
Linda Braunstein daughter of
Mr and Mrs Harry Braunstein of
Atlanta became the bride of
Avrum Meyer Fine, son of Mr
and Mrs. Joseph Fine of Miami,
on March 31 in a ceremony at the
Ahavath Achim Synagogue. Rab
bi Harry H. Epstein officiated
She was given in maariage by her
father.
Fran Horowitz was maid of
honor, and Mrs. Fritz Ellmann
served as matron of honor. Arth
ur Geduldig was best man; and
the ushers were Victor Lambert,
Mervin Moss, and David Hersch-
berg.
Following the ceremony the
bride’s parents entertained at a
reception at the Synagogue.
After a honeymoon trip to
Florida, the newlyweds will
reside at 1165 LaVista Road.

and Mrs Harvey Gordon of Mil
waukee, became the bride of
Melvin Berss, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Berss of Nashville
on March 17 in the chapel of the
Shearith Israel Synagogue Rabbi
Sydney Mossman and Rabbi Zal-
mon Posner officiated.
Allan Saturn of Nashville was
best man. Dr. Montague Davis
served as usher Mrs. Montague
Davis, sister of the bride, was
matron of honor.
Following a wedding trip to
Nassau the newlyweds will
reside in Atlanta
FDR Chapter
AZA Chartered
On Sunday, March 17, the
Franklin Delano Roosevelt Chap
ter of AZA received its First
Degree Charter. It was present
ed by Steve Alterman and Pete
Bossak, president and former
president respectively, of the At
lanta, Macon, and Columbus
council of BBYO, and received
by Steve Weinkle, president of
the group.
The F.D.R. club has been in
existence since September, 1962.
It has had two Oneg-Shabbats
and participated in the recent
leukemia drive. Pete Bossak,
Charles Franco, and Dr. P. Teplis
were guest speakers. The F.D.R.
club also played in the A.J.C.C.
Basketball League.
The club’s leader, Ben Rab-
inowitz, is the new president
of the Georgia Association of
B’nai B’rith Lodges.
The club’s members are Arn
old Berlin, Alfred Bernstein,
Stanley Fineman, Harold Finer-
off, Don Fox, Larry Kolesky,
David Krick, Bernard Makover,
Barry Lederman, Sidney Malkin,
David Miller, Kenny Mirvis, Al

Porcelain Exhibit
At Lenox April 27
Mrs. Alyne Wise's china paint
ing pupils will have a display
of their hand painted creations in
porcelain at Lenox Square Au
ditorium on Saturday, April 27,
from 2 till 5 p. m.
Light refreshments will be
served and there will be continu
ous music. Among those parti
cipating will be Mrs. Milton Saul,
Mrs. Paul Raymond, Mrs. Sam
Stem, Mrs. Moses Leff, and Mrs.
Colley Gilletz of Montreal. Young
daughters and friends of the ex
hibitors have been asked to be
hostesses. These include Mrs.
Jerry Fields, Mrs. Dan Levine,
Misses Nancy Zuckerman, Karen
and Barbara Saul, Julia and Hel
en Stern,
There will be over forty artists
displaying plates, pictures, pla
ques, boudoir accessories, bon bon
dishes, vases, lamps, ash trays,
and countless other articles.
There will be other artists from
neighboring towns, including
Dalton, Newnan, Griffin and
Charleston.
There will be no admission for
this showing and the public is
cordially invited.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben L. Levy an
nounce the engagement of their
daughter Irene Faye Levy to
Theodore Sheldon Britton, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Sol Britton of At
lanta.
The bride-to-be is the grand
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Mbrris Sazer of New Orleans,
and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mor
ris Levy. The bride-elect is a
graduate of Northside High
School and attended the Uni
versity of Alabama where she
was affiliated with Delta Phi Ep
silon sorority. She is presently a
student at Oglethorpe University.
Mr. Britton, grandson of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sweet,
is a graduate of Henry Grady
High School. He attended Emory
University and graduated from
Georgia State College where he
served on the Student Council
and was a member of Alpha Ep
silon Pi fraternity. He was also

Lunch Postponed
Until May 13
Due to the Passover holidays
the monthly public relations for
Israel luncheon sponsored by the
Atlanta ZOA District at the May-
fair Club, originally scheduled
for Monday,
April 8, will be
postponed until
the second Mon
day in May —
May 13.
Announcement
of the change in
dates was made
by Harold Lev-
ow, president of
the local Dis
trict. He also pointed out that
the May meeting, to be under the
direction of Dr. A. A. Weinstein,
a past president of the District,
will feature the observance of
Israel’s birthday, the awarding of
a trip to Israel to a paid-up
ZOA member, and a talk by the
Southeastern Israel Consul, Zeev
Dover.

ing next month will be announced
to the general membership at a
later date.
