April 14 for
Beth El

have its annual “Third Seder”
at the Beth El Building, 1262
University Drive, N. E., on Sun
day, April 14, at 7 p. m. Morris
Mitzner, religious and education
al director, will conduct the tra
ditional Seder service, complete
with all the symbols.
An unusual feature will be the
participation of members of the
Beginners’ Adult Hebrew Read
ing Class, taught by Mr. Mitz
ner. This class which has met
weekly for the past five months
is composed of men and women
who had no instruction in He
brew as adults or children and
needed a refresher course. The
class has made marvelous prog
ress and this will be their first
public appearance to show what
has been accomplished.
Following the Seder service,
dessert and beverage will be
served. All members and friends
of the congregation, together
with their children, are invited
to attend, but are asked to make
reservations as space is limited.

Hadassah Leader
Training Begins
Fined Series Apr. 5
The final group of sessions of
Hadassah’s leadership-in-training
course for this year will begin
on Friday, April 5, at 10 a m. in
Room 2 at the AJCC.
The over-all program, which
began in February and continued
through March, will be conclud
ed with four sessions during
April, of which the April 5 meet
ing is the first. A new approach
from previous years made the ac
tivity more stimulating and ben
eficial. The theme, In addition to
Hadassah education and content
applicable to duties of leadership,
lias been inter-personal relation
ships.
Text prepared by the Human
Development Institute of Atlanta,
directed by Dr. Jerome Berlin,
has been followed throughout the
entire series, with the students
working together in twos on the
exercises contained in the text.
The Friday sessions, in addi
tion to covering the text, will
deal in the realm of the “How-
To’s of Organization.” Chairman
for this phase is Mrs. Bert Wes
ton, with members of her com
mittee composed of Mrs. Charles
Beroath, Mrs. Joseph Glazer,
Mrs. Robert Goldwasser, Mrs.
Marvin Silver, Mrs. Jack Zweck-
er. The subject will be in two
sessions and will include the
structure and techniques of or
ganization. Featuring a “Today
in Hadassah” format, it will pre
sent a “Blue Print for a Way of
Life—Hadassah in America and
in Israel.”
Interest in the entire course
has been intense and three
more sessions will conclude the
course, the dates to be announced
later. The entire program is
under the direction of Mrs. Mor
ris Cohen.
