Mr. and Mrs. David Geffen of
New York will visit with Mr.
Geffen’s parents and grandfather,
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Geffen and
Rabbi Emeritus Tobias Geffen, in
Atlanta over the Passover holi
days.
This will be the newlyweds’
first trip to Atlanta since their
marriage. They plan to arrive on
Sunday, April 7, and remain for
about 10 days.
Dave Is engaged in rabbinical
studies at the Jewish Theological
Seminary of America. His wife,
Rita, is a graduate student at City
College of New York, working
toward her Masters in the field
of School Psychology.

Mrs. S. L. Robbins, of Miami
Beach, will be visiting her chil
dren, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Krick
of Atlanta, for the Passover holi
days. Miss Lori Krick, a student
at Columbia University, will also
spend the holiday with her par
ents.

nounce the birth of a second son
Steven James Needle on March
17. Mrs. Needle Is the former
Beverly Stein.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene Asher have
returned from a visit to Holly
wood, Fla , and Daytona Beach.
During their visit, their children
Laurie, Susan and David stayed
with their grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Baron Asher and Mr. and
Mrs. Oscar Spector.

lanta, has been elected sweet
heart of Sigma Alpha Mu fra
ternity at Tulane University. She
is a freshman at Sophie New
comb College, New Orleans, and
is a graduate of Lovett School
in Atlanta.

daughter Beth Suzanne on March

THEODORE BIKEL
CONCERT ON MAY 11
With more than 500 folk songs
in his repertoire, noted singer-
actor Theodore Bikel will bring
an exciting evening of music to
Atlanta, Saturday evening, May
11. The concert will be held at
the Grady High School Gym. This
event is being produced locally as
a joint undertaking of Sid Davis,
local promotor, and Lee Nance,
well known Atlanta disk jockey.
Mr. Bikel’s vast repertoire con
sists of songs in at least 17 lang
uages, from Zulu to Greek, not
to mention his Israeli folk songs
for which he is famous. It is be
cause of his knowledge of folk
music and his ability to capture
the ethnic flavor of his songs that
he has gained wide appeal among
people of all classes, origins and
generations. His concert tours are
marked with sold-out houses
from coast to coast. Mr. Bikel is
in such demand as a concert
artist, it was necessary to secure
a date for his Atlanta appearance
over a year ago.
Tickets for this major folk
music event are priced at $4 and
$3, and are available at the Rec
ord Hunter and Rhodes Salon of
Music. They may also be purch
