Plays to Full House
Jewels of Judaea’s annual fund
raising "Fashionata” captivated
a capacity audience at the AJCC
Garson Auditorium last Monday
night. The bulk of the proceeds
from the affair were to go to
charity.
Starring in the show were
Caro] Cohen, Sandy Shulman and
Claire Brown. They were back
ed by a strong supporting cast
The play, written by the mem
bers of JOJ with the aid of the
director, Mrs. Edward Robbins,
featured the newest fashions
from the Cricket Shop and coif
fures by Joiie.
The Hell Elevator from the
underworld brought to the sur
face Medusa, a slinky messenger
of Lucifer. Her task was to bring
a bad soul down to harden the
good situation in the fiery below.
However, upon arrival on the
earth and in Mankind’s domain,
Medusa decides to never return
to Lucifer. She is mistaken for
‘‘Miss Georgia” in the Teen Queen
Pageant of 1963 and must make
the decision to remain as an entry
in the pageant or give up her
place for the real “Miss Georgia.”
The play ends as Medusa’s de
cision to give up her place puts
her on the way to heaven and the
rightful Miss Georgia goes on to
win the Teen Queen title.
Mrs. Jack Raneil and Miss
Elaine Libowsky are the club’s
advisors.
