Concert April 28
Two young Isra • artists, Mor-
decai Specter and Miriam Sand
ler, will be presented in concert
by the Workmen ■ Circle at 8
p. m. Sunday, April 28, at the
Atlanta Jewish Community Cen
ter.
The program will include Yid-.
dish and Israeli songs, dramatic
sketches and humoious portrayals
of Jewish life.
The two performers have re
ceived acclaim on their tour of
Europe, Israel and the United
States.
The program Is a part of the
Workmen’s Circle presentation of
Yiddish lectures and concerts.

RICHMOND, Ind. (JTA)—The
first synagogue in this commun
ity, Congregation Beth Boruk,
will be completed in time for
services during the next High
Holidays, it was announced here
by Bert Glazer, president of the
congregation. A poll will be held
among the members of the syn
agogue, he said, to determine
whether the families would pre
fer to affiliate with the Reform.

branches of Judaism.
Comefrstone-laying ceremonies
were held by the congregation at
the site for its new structure,
with about 200 guests in attend
ance. Among the participants in
the ceremonies we r c Mayor Rob
ert Cutter; local church and civic
leaders; and Rabbi Sydney Stci-
man, of nearby Indianapolis. The
new edifice, said Mr. Glazer, will
include a religious school. Until
now, Jewish children from this
community have been attending
Sunday religious classes at Day-
ton.
