THE SOUTHERN ISRAELITE
Fulton Lodge
Family Night
On July 2}{
A picnic and theater party is
being arranged for members of
Fulton Lodge 216 and their fam
ilies for Sunday, July 28.
Worshipful Master Joe Ger-
stein announced that a picnic
meal of kosher wieners, dessert
and soft drinks will be served,
after which members can see
“The Music Man’’ at a special
mass reduced rate of $1.50 per
person.
The meal will be served, he
noted, at the Chastain Memorial
Park Master Grill from 5 to 7
p. m. Members can bring their
wives, dates — and children to
swim, sun, golf—or just relax for
the afternoon, have the nice pic
nic meal and then climax the
evening with the popular musical
entertainment.
Reservations cannot be accept
ed after July 20, because of the
need for making arrangements
well in advance with the theatre
management, Mr. Gerstein said,
adding “so checks at $1.50 per
person should be mailed in im
mediately to Secretary Mendle
Boorstein, 1025 N. Virginia Ave.,
Atlanta, Ga., 30306.”
Bert Parks, Atlanta’s own
“me” who made the big time,
stars in the production, which
will be next week’s attraction at
Theatre Under the Stars.

Harry Warshaws
Feted on Eve
Of Trip to Israel
The Harry Warshaws left At
lanta July 6 for Israel and the
ZOA convention after a dazzling
round of parties.
Mr. Warshaw who won the
trip through his membership in
the Atlanta ZOA District and his
wife scheduled visits in Rome,
Monaco, Switzerland and Paris
enroute to the Holy Land and
back.
They were wined and dined
so much in advance and given
so many gifts, Mollie (Mrs. W )
said she felt like “queen for a
day.”
The Lewis Vronos entertained
at a garden party, Mrs. Morris
Freedman and Mrs. Ida Freed
man at a Mayfair Club luncheon.
The Ldies Auxiliry of JWV Post
116 presented Mrs. Warshaw with
traveling alarm clock at a lunch
eon.
The couple were feted at a
terrace luau at the home of their
children Morris and Harriet War-
shaw, and the Sydney Feldmans
later honored the departing cou
ple at a “bon voyage” dinner.
Included in most of the festiv
ities was the couple’s grand
daughter, Mrs. Hilda Feinberg
visiting from New York. Mrs.
Feinberg recently graduated with
honors in library service from
Columbia University. She is as
sociated with the Revlon Com
pany.
On June 29, the couple par
ticipated in the twenty-ninth
wedding anniversary observance
of their children, Irving and
Frieda Banks.
The couple was busy too, be
sides packing and attending
parties, with enjoying the busy
summer schedule of other grand
children Gyll Zarovsky, who
took a leadership training course
at Barney Medintz Camp; Glen
da Omstein, who returned from
a fortnight vacation in New York
and Dianne Omstein, who is
working in Theater Under the
Stars and will be in one or two
productions.
The free transportation to Is
rael and back came close to Mr.
Warshaw’s eightieth birthday. He
was shortly presented with a
“special set” of gloves for hand
ball, in which he is an active par
ticipant, for using in Israel and
later when he gets back to At
lanta.

slow, to be sure . .. that’s the way we fill the children’s wading pool at Howard
Johnson’s SOUTH! Here, a huge, happy cast iron turtle guards the pool ... his
mouth a sloooo-ow water spout to keep the children’s wading pool brimful of
fresh water for happy times! It’s only a short beachball toss from our BIG pool for
Mom’s and Dad’s ... just one of the reasons experienced travelers prefer staying
over at Howard Johnson's SOUTH. Others include the modem "Living" bedrooms,
extra services, and the good food at the Howard Johnson's Restaurant nearby.
