Beth Israel Synagogue, Friday,
Nov. 29 at 8 p. m. Rabbi Sam

will chant the Kabbolat Shabbat

will present an address "Hadas
sah, Past Achievements and Fu
ture Tasks.” Hadassah will also
be hosts at the Oneg Shabbat
Reception.
Shabbos morning service is at
8:45 a. m. Rabbi Mallinger per
forms the Torah Reading Sedrah
portion. He will speak on “Ja
cobs’ Flight.” Mr and Mrs. Isaac
Hyman will be hosts at the Shab
bos Kiddush
A Thanksgiving program will
take place at the Sunday morn
ing Bible school at 11:30 a. m.
Mr Jack Dayan will be in charge.

A Teen Age Youth Group has
been organized. Boys and girls
in the greater Tampa Bay Area

A splendid Paid Up Luncheon
of Beth Israel Sisterhood was held
this week. Mrs David Pennan,
President of the Sisterhood pre
sided at the meeting. Members of
the Sisterhood Catering Commit
tee prepared a delicious lunch

As the sun shines overhead
these days, along the Suncoast,
it heartens the members of SF
Club as they see their new home
rising on the burned out site of
the old Jewish Community Cen
ter Building. The four walls are
up, all plumbing, electric connec
tions, etc., are down under the
concrete foundations and floors,
now in, and as the sun continues
to shine the roof of the new
building will shortly go into place
and the interior work will get
underway. There will be no more
prolonged and pestered Commit
tee before ground was broken
and which delayed matters over

been anticipated. Chester Levine,
of the Audlane Lumber Co., and
this writer will, co-chairman a
new committee that will endeavor
to raise an additional $8,000 for
the completion of the building on
all “All Paid For” basis. It is
anticipated that the new building
will be completed for a January
occupancy.
On Monday, Nov. 25, twenty-one
members of the SF Club will be
honored the Salu t a t i o n s of
“Happy Birthday,” slaps on the
back, hand-shakes, a special floor
show, presented by the Commit-

Guild of St. Petersburg will pre
sent Henrik Ibsen’s classic drama
"The Master Builder” in the syn
agogue auditorium at 8 p. m. The
presentation is sponsored by the
Men’s Club of B’nai Israel, A fel
lowship hour will follow. Admis
sion is $1 a person. Tickets are
available at the synagogue office.
This program is open to the pub
lic and everyone is invited.
Sun. Dec. 1 — Conservative
Service at 9 a. m. The Minyan
Club will meet at 10 a. m. for

orchestra will go into action with

SF Club looms up as one of the
happiest for the year. Monday,

Meeting; Dec. 5, FYench Lesson
with Bertha AJpert as Instructor
and all types of recreation; Dec.
9, "Sing Along” with Frances
Monro, Barney Socol, Dora
Kaiser, Harry Rose, Jennie Tin
kle, Lillian Lee, Oscar Ascher
and Manny Ward as musical di
rector. Ballroom dancing will fol
low with SF Orchestra providing

review “Little Did I Know” by
Maurice Samuels. Following the
review, dancing, entertainment
and refreshments. Dec. 26, the
afternoon will be devoted to rec
reation of all types, including
singing, dancing and card playing.
Dec. 30, Regular Monthly Birth
day Party for members a year
older in December. Entertainment
galore follow’s. Dec. 31, in the
evening, starting at 9:30 p. m.
“The Happiest Night of the Year.”
New Year’s Eve Celebration, with
a guest list of 300, will be pre
sented. The Banjoliers, a dance
organization of six, will play for
the dancing, while the SF Orches
tra will play for the floor show,
that will be the highlight of the
evening. Those members who
have not sent in their reserva
tions are cautioned to do so im
mediately, if they wish to be pre
sent at this affair.

"Young Marrieds” will be held In
the auditorium at 8 p. m. A
social hour will follow the meet
ing and refreshments will be
