With the Winter Swim Session drawing to a close after a very suc
cessful and enjoyable season, it’s about time to start thinking about
the Spring Session.
Classes are being offered for every member of the family and also
times set aside just for a relaxing dip. Classes are scheduled as follows:
Pre-school <3 & 4 yr. old)—
Mon., Tues., & Thur. 2:30— 3:00
Mon. 10:00—10:30
Fri 11:00—11:30
Beginners Mon.—3:00-4 00
Advanced Beginner Wed.—4:00-5:00

Registration will be limited. To register please come by the Pool Office
and register with Marty Hooper, Aquatic Director. Spring Session will be
starting on April 13 and will be over the week of June 12.
Little League-Registration Notice
Sunday, April 5, is the registration date for the 1964 Little League
Program at the Center.
Registration will be held from 1:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. in the
gymnasium. Open to boys ages 8 to 13. Center membership re
quired.

(includes cap and jersey)
9, 10, li, 12, 13 year olds who have
an AJCC Uniform $5.00
(includes cap and socks)

The Week
This week’s volunteer is Lanny
Glass. He is a junior at Emory
University and brings many skills
to his group, the S.O.J. Boys. He
had guided them through a success
ful year. Lanny will return to Camp
Barney Medintz as a junior coun
selor. When asked why he wanted
to lie a volunteer leader, Lanny
replied: “It’s a chance to work with
kids and to help them help them
selves.
We all owe thanks to our volun
teers. ^
Jr. Counselors Meet
On Tuesday, March 17, the Jun
ior Counselor Staff of Ajecomee
Day Camp met to begin their Pre-
Camp Training Session.
Plans for future meetings and
staff appointments will appear in
later issues of the AJCC NEWS.
Seder For
Nursery Schoolers
On March 25 the Nursery School
children celebrated at a Pesach
Seder.
Mrs. Ralph Sacks, Director of
the Pre-School Department, stated
that the children had learned the
story of Pesach as part of their
activities program. “The Seder,"
she continued, “was an opportun
ity for the girls and boys to par
ticipate in the rituals of the Seder
service at a level which has speci
fic meaning to them.” The children
used simple picture Haggadahs
which they had made
The tables were festive with pretty
spring-time decorations made by the
youngsters.
Luncheon was served to the chil
dren following the Seder services.
The parents offered assistance in
arrangements and lunch prepara
tions for the Seder. Mrs. Sanford
Arken, who coordinated the parent
volunteer helpers, said, “I want to
thank the many mothers who as
sisted. Their help made the Seder
a memorable occasion for the chil
dren.

Before coming to America, Joseph Bui off produced, directed and acted
in several languages. He has appeared in twenty-one Broadway produc
tions. Before leaving for Israel last year he had the memorable role
of Shpunt in the dramatization of John Hersey’s ‘"Hie Wall.” Mr. Buloff
is well remembered for the part of Ali Hakim in the original company
of “Oklahoma!” Other famous roles include the comic Greek landlord
Mr. Appopolous in “My Sister Eileen" and the harassed Max Pincus in the
garment district comedy, “The Fifth Season.” A number of years ago
Mr. Bukrff made his debut in a short-lived play called “Don’t Look Now,”
followed by a long succession of plays including two of the late Mike Todd’s
earlier efforts, "Call Me Ziggy” and “The Man From Cairo”; ‘‘Spring
Again” with Grace George and C. Aubrey Smith; Ben Hecht’s ‘To Quito
and Back” for the Theatre Guild; “The World Over”; “Morning Star”;
“Once More With Feeling” and “Moonbirds.” In 1951 he directed “Mrs.
McThing" starring Helen Hayes. He has made many television appear
ances and became a familiar figure through such efforts as Pincus Pines
in “The Goldbergs" and his performance in Paddy Chayefsky’s “Holiday
Song.” He was recently seen on a “Ben Casey” episode.
