Glazer—Baer
Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Glazer an
nounce the engagement of their
daughter Charlotte Glazer, to Mich
ael Alan Baer, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Kurt A. Baer of Atlanta.
The bride-elect is the granddaugh
ter of Mrs. Jacob Shamos and the
late Mr. Shamos and Mrs,. Charles
Glaser and the late Mr. Glazer, all
of Atlanta
Miss Glazer is a senior at Bran
ded University in Waltham, Mass ,
where she is concentrating in Eng
lish and American Literature. She is
a Branded Scholar and a National
Merit Scholar. She served as vice
president of Hillel and on the staffs
of school publications.
Mr. Baer is the grandson of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mendel-
son of Rome, Ga., and the late Mr.
and Mrs. A. Baer.
The future bridegroom was grad
uated in March from Emory Uni
versity where he was a member of
Pi Sigma Alpha, honorary national
political science fraternity, president
of Hillel, and vice-president of the
Emory Religious Association. He is
a former Aleph Godol of Southern
Region AZA and of Gate City Chap
ter No. 357.
Mr. Baer is now doing graduate
work in political science at the Uni
versity of Georgia.
The wedding will be in late sum
mer.

Mark—Greenberg
Miss Barbara Toby Mark, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mark of
Beaufort, S. C., became the bride
of Jeffrey Ira Greenberg, son of
Mrs. Louis Greenberg and the late
Mr. Greenberg of Columbus, Ohio,
March 7 in the Beth Israel Syna
gogue, Beaufort, S. C. Rabbi Jos
eph Selzman officiated.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. Mrs. Irvin Flox, sis
ter of the groom, of Columbus, Ohio,
was matron of honor. Miss Marilyn
Joyce Young, Jacksonville, Fla.,
was maid of honor, and Miss Janet
Sharon Mark, sister of the bride,
was bridesmaid. Tike flower girl was
Miss Arlene Lipson of Beaufort
Mike Greenberg, brother of the
groom, at Columbus, Ohio, Was best
man. Ushers were Harry Ostrow,
Baltimore; Irwin Flox, Columbus,
Ohio; and Lawrence Mark, brother
of the bride.
Immediately following the cere
mony a reception was held in the
Beth Israel Center.
The bride was graduated from
Beaufort High School and attended
the University of South Carolina
Extension Center in Beaufort.
The bridegroom was graduated
from South High School in Colum
bus, Ohio, and served four years
in the U. S. Navy. He is employed
by Picker X-Ray Corporation in Co
lumbus, Ohio.

Harris and Barron Frederick Good

The bride is the daughter of Mrs
Morris Goodman and the late Henry
Harris of Atlanta. The bridegroom
is the son of Morris Goodman and
the late Mrs. Gertrude Goodman.
The bride was given in marriage
by Morris Goodman. Mrs. Sherry
Frank of Plainfield, N. J., cousin of
the bride, was her matron of hon
or Bridesmaids were Mrs. Linda
Sherman of Atlanta and Mrs. Sheila
Sears of Chattanooga.
Scott Harris, brother of the bride,
served as best man and ushers were
William Hurry of New Jersey, Roy
Schoenfield of Chattanooga, Melvin
and Sandy Rosenthal, both of Au
gusta.
After a reception at the Synagogue,
the couple left for Nassau and the
Bahamas.
Kaufman—Segall
The wedding of Miss Brenda Di
ane Kaufman, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Abe Kaufman of Columbus,
Ga., and Terry Barron Segall, son
of Mr. and Mrs. David Segall of
Savannah, was solemnized Sunday,
March 1, in the Shearith Israel Syn
agogue in Columbus. Rabbi Leonard
Borstein and Cantor Henry Jerech
officiated.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. Miss Cheryl Faye
Kaufman was her sister’s maid of
honor, and bridesmaids were Miss
Rita Levy and Miss Linda Rosen
of Atlanta.
The bridegroom's brother, Robert
Milton Segall, served as his best
man, with ushers Richard Segall,
Gary Weil and Ronnie Lipsitz, all
of Savannah, and Murray Ginsburg
of Atlanta.
After the reception at the Martin
ique Motor Hotel, the couple left for
a wedding trip to Miami Beach
Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs
Segall will reside at 314 Lawson
Avenue, Savannah
Schlucker—Cohen
Mr. and Mrs. David Schlucker of
Savannah announce the marriage of
their daughter, Marlene, to Henry
Arthur Cohen, son of Mr. and .Mrs
Hirsk Cohen of Hickory, N. C.
The bride is the daughter of the
late Samuel David Sutker.
The double-ring ceremony was
performed by Rabbi Abraham Ros
enberg on February 29 in the Chapel
of the B’nai B’rith Jacob Synagogue
The bride attended the University
of Georgia, where she was a mem
ber of Sigma Delta Tau sorority.
Mr. Cohen will be graduated with
a degree in industrial management
from the Georgia Institute of Tech
nology this month.
Children's Civic
Group to Stage
“Aladdin*' Play
"Aladdin and the Wonderful
Lamp" will be presented by the Chil
dren’s Civic Theater April 3, 4 and
5 at the Community Playhouse, 1150
Peachtree Street, N. E. Matinee per
formances will be Friday at 4 p. m.,
Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p. m.
The one evening performance will
be Saturday at 8 p. m.
The production, under the direc-
iton of Edith Russell, combines
drama and dancing performed by
children for the enjoyment of chil
dren. This year the cast is com
posed of 54 chikk-en ranging in age
from 8 to 15.
In cooperation with the youngest
class of the Atlanta School of Art,
a competition was held for a design
for the program cover. Alfred
Rothstein, 8-year-old son of Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Rothstein, was select
ed as the winning artist. His draw
ing will appear on the cover
Kalman—Peskin
Miss Grace Kalman, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Kalman of
Miami, became the bride of Sidney
M. Peskin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake
Levein of Miami Beach, formerly
of Statesboro, Ga., in a ceremony at
the Agudath Achim Synagogue, Sa
vannah, Sunday, March 1. Rabbi
David Raab officiated.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. Dr. A. C. Rogers was
best man for his brother-in-law
Mrs. Shirley Rogers was her sis
ter-in-law’s matron of honor. Brides
maids were Miss Janice Rogers,
Miss Saundra Hair, Miss Marie Rol
lins and Miss Linda Nease.
