On Wednesday, April 28, at
12:30 p. m. the Or VeShalom Sis
terhood will , hold tile final meet
ing of the year. The meeting
will be preceded by a kosher
roast beef luncheon prepared by
the Cooking Committee.
The program will be the in
stallation of officers for the year
1965-66 by Rabbi Joseph Cohen.

BBG-Amirah attended an oneg
shabbat at Judy Kuniansky’s
house after Friday night services
at Shearith Israel April 9.

at a Mother-Daughter banquet.

Gerson; and delegates, Liz Spie
gel and Sheila Landau. Congrat
ulations to all the new officers.
At the installation two skits
were given, a humorous one to
let the parents know what we
have done this year and a seri
ous one, The Menorah Pledge.
The girls who participated in
the skits are Marcia Glass, Mi
chele Alperin, Rhoda Gerse
Rachel Benator, Liz Spiegel,
Judy Kuniansky, Doris Ermapyf
Dale Cohen, Terry Newman y 4nd
Sandy Gay.
Club superlatives were also
announced. They are: Hardest
Worker, Frances Krebs; Best All
Around, Marilyn Levy; and Most
Spirited, Judy Kuniansky.
After the installation mints
^and flowers were donated to
EgeLston Children’s Hospital and
the Jewish Home.
Rachel Benator received the
“Most Valuable” player award
at the Award Banquet. Our
coach, Sidney Berger, received
h plaque for his outstanding
coaching.
We hope to have our news
paper distributed soon.

BBG-Simcha News
BBG-Simcha had a successful
theater party at president, Sheila
Mandel’s house. It w'as held in
order to acquire funds for the
club treasury. It was held in
February.
Recently we had a very suc
cessful candy sale. We also con
tributed $15 to the International
Service Fund.
In the near future, Simcha is
planning an Oneg Shabbat. It
will be held at the Ahavath
Achim Synagogue. Each of the
girls is planning to bring a guest.
Afterwards a skit will be per
formed and refreshments will be
served.
Simcha is also planning to play
softball this summer and is hop
ing to have a good season.

Induction April 27
The Herzlia group of the At
lanta Chapter of Hadassah will
hold its closing meeting at noon,
Tuesday, April 27, at the Stand
ard Club. Mrs. Stanley Silver-
man, vice-president of programs,
and her program chairmen, Mrs.
Marvin Wender and Mrs. Alvin
Saul, promise an appearance of
the “Wizard,” whose identity
will remain undisclosed until the
meeting.
Following a gala luncheon, new
officers for 1965-66 will be in
stalled by Mrs. Charles Weiner,
a past president of Herzlia and
a member of the national board
of Hadassah. The new officers
are: Mrs. Monty M. Mills, pres
ident; Mrs. Stanley Silverman,
Mrs. Kusiel Kaplan, Mrs. David
Schulman, Mrs. S. W. Draluck,
and Mrs. Ken Silberstein, vice-
presidents; Mrs. James Arogeti,
financial secretary; Mrs. Elliot
Goldberg, corresponding secre
tary; Mirs. Jean Barkin, assistant
corresponding secretary; Mrs.
David Berkman, recording secre
tary; and Mrs. Joseph Karlick,
treasurer.
Arrangements for the day are
being made by Mrs. Max Saper-
stein, with Mrs. Morris Galanti
in charge of hostesses.
Mrs. Mils, president, urges
that all members make advance
reservations with Mrs. David
Berlin, TR. 5-1362, in order to
be eligible for door prizes.
Szoid-Installation
Mlfs. Julius Wenger will be
installed as president of the
Szoid Group of Atlanta Hadas
sah at a noon luncheon on Tues
day, April 27, at Beth Jacob Syn
agogue.
Mrs. Wenger, who will be in
stalled by Mrs. Henry Caplan,
past president of the Atlanta
Chapter of Hadassah, will suc
ceed Mrs. Herbert Karp.

Entertainment for the closing
Szoid meeting will be a musical
spoof highlighting “Fun Raising
—Not Fund Raising.” Mrs. Har
old Lefkoff has written addition
al lyrics for the presentation,
which..will be directed by Mrs.
Lyonel Joffre and Mrs. Morton
Weiss. Mark Franklin is to pro
vide the piano accompaniment.
The cast will include Mrs.
Mortom Levine as narrator and
Mesdames Louis Shark, Jack
Scharf, Jerry Blonder, Albert
Marx, Arnold Rich, Paul Lavie-
tes, and Stanley Friedman.
