Robins—Goodove
NORFOLK, Va.—Miss Harriet
Frances Robins, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Herman Louis Robins,
became the bride of Edward
Goodove, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel E. Goodove of Savannah
July 3 in the Beth EJ Synagogue.
Rabbi Paul Reich performed the
marriage rites.
The bride’s sister, Miss Marian
Gale Robins, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Stanley
Samuels of Charlottesville, Va.;
Mrs. Aaron Peck of Portsmouth,
Va.; Miss Maxine Hollander of
West Hartford, Conn.; and Miss
Grace Goodove of Savannah.
Alan Stuart Goldstein of Sa
vannah was best man. Ushers
were Beryl Mark Wagner, Leslie
Charles Maddern, Michael Sutger,
all of Savannah, and Stuart Har
ris Held.
A reception at Myers Hall fol
lowed the ceremony.
Following a wedding trip to the
Catskill Mountains, Mr. and Mrs
Goodove will reside in Athens.
Wolf—Korach
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Wolf of
Atlanta announce the marriage ol
their daughter, Sue Ellen, to Jef
frey Laurence Korach, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Laurence I. Korach of
Shaker Heights, Ohio.
The 7:30 p. m. ceremony took
place at the Americana Hotel on
June 20, with Rabbi Harry H.
Epstein officiating.
Given in marriage by her fa
ther, the bride was attended by
Miss Brenda Sugarman, as maid
of honor. Other attendants were:
Mrs. Stanley Slutzky and Miss
Donna Rice, of Atlanta, Mrs.
George Roth, of Cleveland, Ohio,

Mr. Kenneth Korach served as
best man for his brother. Grooms
men were: Roger Aaron, Sheldon
Artz, Richard Stark, all of Shaker
Heights, Ricky Miller, brother of
the groom, Alan M. Wolf, brother
of the bride, and Julian Epstein
of West Newton, Mass.
Ushers were Dr. Marvin Gold
stein, Dr. Irving Goldstein, Dr.
William Rottersman, Mr. Ben
Rice, Dr. Ronald Goldstein, Mr.
Jay Goldberg, all of Atlanta, Dr.
Leon Blum of Cedarhurst, N. Y.,
and Mr. Ben Wolf, of Teaneck,
N. J. Cary and Cathy Goldstein
served as ring bearer and flower
girl.
After a wedding trip to Nas
sau, the couple will reside in
Euclid, Ohio.
Solomonson—Portnoy
The marriage of Miss Nancy
Claire Solomonson to Barry Allan
Portnoy took place June 26 in
Temple B’nai Sholom. Huntsville,
Ala. Rabbi Sherman Stein offic
iated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Louis Sol
omonson Jr. of Huntsville. The
bridegroom is the son of Dr. and
Mrs. Joseph Portnoy of Balti
more.
Wedding music was presented
by Mrs. FYank Ware, organist,
and Mrs. Richard Van Valken-
burgh, soloist.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Mrs. Rob
ert G. Holman Jr. of Atlanta was
matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Miss Sharon Johnston and
Miss Susan Pipes of Huntsville,
Miss Priscilla Spann of Dothan,
Miss Nina Nelson of Columbia,
S. C., and Miss Carol Portnoy,
sister of the groom, of Baltimore.
Miss Marion Weil of Huntsville
was the junior bridesmaids.
Martin I>eder of Clinton, N. C.,
was the best man. Groomsmen
were Pete Re. Jack Rosenberg
and Stanley Tennenbaum of At
lanta, Ken Topped of Miami, and
Ronald Rosen, cousin of the
bride, of St. Petersburg.
Six grandparents were present
for the ceremony. The bride’s

groom’s grandparents attending

Mr. and Mrs. Isidore Portnoy, all
of New York City.
Following the ceremony, a re
ception was given by the bride’s
parents at the Redstone Arsenal
Officers’ Open Mess.
A rehearsal dinner was given
by Mr. and Mrs. Portnoy at Hotel
Russel Erskine.
After a wedding trip to the
Bahamas, the newlyweds are
living at 285i2 Buford Highway,
Atlanta.
Bierman—Moss
Mrs. Shirley Bierman of At
lanta announces the engagement
of her daughter, Iris, to Benja
min Joseph Moss, son of Mrs.
Minnie Moss of Brooklyn and the
late Robert Moss
The bride-elect is the daughter
of the late Jack Bierman.
Miss Bierman attended the
University of Georgia and is em
ployed at the Jewish Social Serv
ice Federation.
Mr. Moss was graduated from
college in South Dakota. He will
enter graduate school in the fall
to secure his Masters Degree in
Social Work.
The wedding will take place
September 5 at the Progressive
Club.
