Susan Ann Blass, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Blass of At
lanta, became the bride of Jerry
David Warshaw, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Melvin Warshaw, on July
1 at the Ahavith Achim Syna
gogue. Rabbi Raphael Gold offi
ciated.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, carried
a white Bible with a white
orchid. Mr. Warshaw was his
son’s best man.
The ceremony was followed
by a wedding breakfast at the
Progressive Club
Out-of-town visitors attending
the wedding were Mr. and Mrs.
Emil Nomburg, Mrs. Augusta
Blumenfeld, New York City;
Mrs. Melvin Wallerstein, West
Orange, New Jersey; Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Rosin, Coral Gables,
Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Ike Rude-
man, Gainesville, Florida; Mr.
and Mrs. Irving Neuschatz,
Levittown, N. Y.
After a wedding trip to Miami
and Nassau, Mr. and Mrs. War
shaw will reside in Atlanta
Jablon-Herman
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jablon of
Spartanburg, S.C., announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Marion Alice Jablon, to Robert
L. Herman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Herman of Atlanta.
Miss Jablon was graduated
from the University of Georgia,
where she was a member of
Delta Phi Epsilon and sweetheart
of Phi Epsilon Pi. She is employ
ed by the Atlanta City School
System.
Mr. Herman attended the Uni
versity of North Carolina, where
he was a member of Zeta Beta
Tau. He was graduated from
Emory University, where he was
a member of Beta Gamma Sigma,
an officer of the student board of
directors, and a recipient of the
Atlanta Federal Savings Senior
Award. Mr. Herman attends the
Lamar School of Law of Emory
University.
An August wedding is being
planned.
Homans—Chepenik

Homans and Alan Chepenik in
matrimony on Sunday, July 4
Rabbi David Raab performed the
wedding service.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Homans
are the bride’s parents and Mr
and Mrs. Meyer Chepenik, of
Jacksonville, are the parents of
the bridegroom.
Miss Rochelle Boblasky was
maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Bette Homansky, cousin of
the bride; Miss Linda Goldstein,
Mrs. Jules Homans, of Plymouth,
N.C.; and Mrs. Maury Finkel-
stein, of Charleston S.C.
Stephen Chepenik was his
brother’s best man. Groomsmen
were Kenneth Chepenik, of
Gainesville, Fla., and Marvin
Chepenik, of New York, both
cousins of the bridegroom; Ed
ward Robin of Jacksonville,
Dennis Wolfson, of Boston, and
the bride’s brothers, Jules Ho
mans, of Plymouth, N.C., and
Philip Homans, of Savannah.
The Verandah Room of the
Manger Hotel was the scene of
the wedding reception, after
which Mr. and Mrs. Chepenik
left on their wedding trip to
Mexico.
On their return, the newly
weds will be at home in Gaines
ville, Florida.

ter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert J.
Lubowitt, and Stephen R. Hirsch,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan R.
Hirsch of West Orange, N. J..
were married Sunday, July 18,
at the Chanticler in Millburn,
N. J. The ceremoney was per
formed by Rabbi Eli E. Pilchik
of Temple B’nai Jeshurun, New
ark.
Mr. Hirsch is the grandson of
Mrs. Solomon Hirsch and the
nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip
Cranman, all of Savannah.

Rubenstein-Danneman
Lynda Joyce Danneman,
daughter of Mr and Mrs. Marcus
Danneman of Atlanta became the
bride of Alfred M. Rubenstein,
son of Mrs. F. Rubenstein and
the late Harry Rubenstein of
Anniston, Ala., on July 18 at the
Ahavath Achim Synagogue.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father. Nancy
Danneman was her sister’s maid
of honor, and Mrs. Stephen Rich
was her sister’s matron of honor.
Phillip Rubenstein was his
brother’s best man.
The bride’s parents gave a
wedding breakfast.
After a wedding trip to
Jamaica, the newlyweds will live
in Atlanta.
Weitzman-Grablowsky
DALLAS, Tex. — Miss Maxine
Weitzman became the bride of
Dr. Oscar Marshall Grablowsky
in a ceremony on July 4 at the
Shearith Israel Synagogue.
Rabbi William Fertig and Can
tor Abe Silensky officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs., Louie Weitzman.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Bennie Grablowsky of
Williston, S. C.
Bemie Grablowsky was his
brother's best man. Ushers were
Herbert Weitzman, Fred Ablon,
Larry Kaminsky, Dr. Terry
Shapiro, Lt. Mikell Harper, Steve
Schneider, Dr. Leo Lowentritt,
Dr. Stanley Roskind, Alford
Flynn and Elliott Singer.
Mrs. Fred Ablon was her
sister’s matron of honor. Miss
Verne Grablowsky, sister of the
bridegroom, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Leon
Mellow, Mrs. Herb Weitzman,
Mrs. Pearson Grimes, Mrs. Jerry
Argovitz and Miss Saradonna
Persky.
Flower girls were Miss Ma
ze! le Ablon, Miss Rachelle Ablon
and Miss Bari Kay Ablon, nieces
of the bride.
Following a wedding trip to
Nassau, the couple will reside in
New Orleans.

came the bride of Alan Hirsch
Cohen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben
jamin Edward Cohen of Louis
ville, Ky„ on July 11. Rabbi
Burton L. Padoll officiated at
the ceremony at Beth-Elohim
Temple in Charleston.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father. Suzanne
Read of Charleston was her
sister’s maid of honor. Mrs. Jack
L. Simon of Charleston was
matron of honor.
Robert Jay Cohen of Kansas
City, Kan., was his brother’s
best man. Ushers were Thomas
Lief Read of Charleston, brother
of the bride, and Richard Glass.
Mrs. Cohen attended Ashley
Hall and the University of South
Carolina.
Mr. Cohen attended Indiana
University and was graduated
from the University of Louis
ville. He is associated with
Windbreaker - Danville Co. of
Danville, III.
A wedding breakfast and re
ception were held at the Hotel
Fort Sumter. After a wedding
trip to New York and Bermuda,
the newlyweds will live in
Atlanta.
