To Manage
Marriott

eral manager of the Marriott
Motor Hotel at Twin Bridges in
Washington, has
been appointed:;
General Man-'
ager of the new
Atlanta Marriott
Motor Hotel,
Atlanta. The
new 500-room
facility, the lat
est link in the
growing chainj
is scheduled for
opening during the fall of 1965.
The appointment of Mr. Ryan
follows a succession of increas
ingly important positions for
him since joining the Marriott
organization in June, 1960. He
had come to Marriott as general
sales manager for the corpora
tion, was assigned as general
manager of the Marriott Motor
Hotel at Key Bridge in Washing
ton in September, 1961, and later
promoted to general manager at
Twin Bridges in October, 1963.
Prior to joining the Marriott
organization, Mr. Ryan had been
assistant director of sales for the
Statler-Hilton Hotel in New
York City. He is a graduate of
the Hotel Administration School
at Cornell University and comes
from a “hotel family”-—his fa
ther the late M. O. Ryan, had
been manager of the Washington
office of the American Hotel As
sociation. Mr. Ryan is married
and has three children.

Miss Mitzi Green of New York,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max
Green of Atlanta and Toccoa, is
spending the summer with her
parents. She is employed as a
teacher in Yonkers, N. Y., and
majtes her home in Manhattan.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Weinkle
of Atlanta announce the birth of
a son, David Alan, on July 18
Mrs. Rose Liebling of Atlanta,
who has been vacationing with
her children since May 18, plans
to return home on August 11.
Mrs. Sophie Weiner of Atlanta
will fly to Rochester, N. Y., to
attend the Bar Mitzvah of her
grandson Lloyd Stephen Kom-
esar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Komesar. Mrs. Komesar is the
former Miriam Weinberg, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Weiner and
family will motor to Rochester
for the event.
Mr. and Mrs. Saul Weinberg
of Atlanta will motor to Wash
ington and then to Wilkes-Barre,
Pa., to visit Mrs. Weinberg’s par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Klu-
ger. They will then drive on to
Rochester for the Komesar Bar
Mitzvah.
Toby Janet Weiner, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weiner
of Atlanta, has completed her
training at Camp Tel Yehuda,
Barryville, N. Y., and is now at
Camp Judaea, Hendersonville,
N. C.

Tel Chai Holds
Party for
New Members
The Tel Chai Group of Hadas-
sah held a new members swim
ming party August 2 at the home
of Mrs. Jack Hirsch.
“The Case of the Missing Link”
was presented by the Tel Chai
Players. The skit featured Agents
“M” and “002” as they solved
the mystery of the missing link.
Included in the cast were:

hen, Robert Fine, Allan Fogel,
Sid Kresses, Donald Miller, Macy
