With the latest conquest of space by the two courageous astro nauts of our beloved country, we apparently have entered into the new unchartered regions of G-d’s universe about whichj we (have known so very little) during all thej past ages. The new scientific i n- formation andl the vast! knowledge which will be forthcoming from these out standing experiences estab lish our faith in The Almigh ty, Creator of all existence, even more firmly. On Rosh Hashonah we cele brate the Birthday of the Uni verse. In each succeeding generation, since the incep tion of Judaism, we have had reason to be more grateful to our G-d for the wonders which He has brought into existence. On this New Year we have some of the greatest of these wonders revealed to us and before which we stand in awe. The latest revelations of our country’s scientific en deavor give us an added view of G-d’s omnipotence. So it is with our faith in G-d and our prayers to Him. The High Holy Days recall to our minds and hearts the un limited power of G-d to help us, to bless us, to forgive us, to bring happiness into our lives. It is for us but to trust in these powers of The Al mighty; to pray for G-d’s wise guidance of our lives through the wonderful ways of our Holy Torah. On these coming High Holy Days as we assemble in our Synago gues, may we be granted this profound understanding. May G-d grant to all of you, my beloved members and friends of many years, a year of happiness; a year of best health and life. May it be a year of strength and even greater achievement for our Homeland, the State of Israel. May this New Year 5726 bring lelief and complete freedom to our more than two million fellow Jews behind the iron curtain, and may it be a year of sincere return to the faith of our fathers by all the children of Israel throughout the world for this year and for all time to come.
