AEPi Has New Chapter
At Auburn University
AUBURN, Ala.—A predomin
ately Jewish iraternity. Theta
Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi
Fraternity, was organized on the
Auburn University campus this
past spring quarter. Corky Gold
man of Birmingham is the prin
cipal organizer with assistance
from Allan Morris of Gadsden,
Ala. Both students are AEPi’s
from other schools, who have
transferred to Auburn in the
past year.
Alpha Epsilon Pi has been rec
ognized by the Auburn Interfra-
temity Council as a colony on
campus after only four months,
and restores to the chapter roll,
when chartered. AEPi’s oldest in
active chapter, originally charter-
in 1921, the group has held reg
ular weekly meetings since Feb
ruary and met for religious and
social activities. The AEPi’s have
rented a house located at 174
Burton St.. Auburn, Ala., to be
occupied in the lall 1965 quarter,
when they will hold rush with
toe rest of the fraternities.
The fraternity iviil be starting
with fourteen members. Officers
include: Corky Goldman, presi
dent; Allan Morris, vice presi
dent; and Stephen Korn of Mont
gomery who is secretary-treas-
urer. Robert Papier of Pittsburgh,
who is a social affiliate, will be
house manager. Other members
are: Larry Shulman, Huntsville;
Jerry Sanderson, Nashville; Art
Slotkin, Miami; Craig Howell,
Foley; Ronnie Codron, Eufala,
Ala.; Malcolm Magee, Jackson
ville; Arthrur Berger, Petersburg,
Va.; Arnold Cooper. Allan Tich-
ansky, and Lee Izen, all of Bir
mingham.
Auburn’s Jewish enrollment,
while currently small, is growing.
Students are attracted by the
lovely campus and the Univer
sity’s excellent reputation in
Norman H. Diamond ot Atlanta has been elected president of the
Life Insurance Leaders of Georgia. Shown here at the recent annual

Richard Bloodworth, Athens, past president; Mr. Diamond; Don
Rosen, Macon, vice president, and John Moulton, Albany, treasurer.
Mr. Diamond, a general agent for Union Mutual Life Insurance
Company, is a former worshipful master of Fulton Masonic Lodge
and past president of the Ahavath Achim Couples Club.

education. Now that AEPi is on
the Auburn campus, the prospect
is excellent for a greater influx
of Jewish students. A large pledge
class is expected this fall.
