Twenty years ago two Atlan
ta youths shared a dream.
Howard E. Klein and Alvin N.
Siegel had visions of becoming
co-owners of a large corporation.
In May, 1959, their dream be
came a reality when, together
with their fathers, they incorp
orated Ess-Kay Enterprises, Inc.,
and purchased two duplexes as a
start toward establishing their
real estate investment and devel
opment firm.
The venture has grown stead
ily. Today there are 85 stock
holders throughout the United
States owning real estate with a
market value of close to $3,000,-
000.
Howard, a local real estate
broker, serves as president of the
corporation and is its exclusive
real estate agent.
Alvin is secretary and serves
as attorney and auditor.
Isadore M. Siegel, a local ac
countant and father of Alvin, is
vice president. Abe Klein, How-
ward’s father and a retired
wholesale merchant, is treasurer.
The remaining members of the
board of directors are: David
Madison, Emanuel Goldb erg,
Harvey Spielholz, Harold Frank,
A. Robert Maran and Stanley
“Mickey” Steinberg.
The corporation ended its first
year of business with an operat
ing net income of $67 before de
preciation. Net income for the
fiscal year ended June 30, 1965,
before depreciation was approx
imately $80,000 and will show a
gross income in excess of $275,000
as compared with the gross in
come of $10,000 for the first year
of operation.
Ess-Kay Enterprises has paid
10 consecutive dividends. The
